Not only has “Rigatoni Pie” been filling up social media feeds for a while, but it also tugs at the heartstrings of culinary producer Jeanette's Italian-American food lovin' heart. She loves baked ziti and has literally turned into an Italian grandma who has a basement filled with tomato sauce cans that were on sale. 1 tbsp salted butter
3 tsp onion, finely chopped
2 tsp chopped pimento pepper
2 tsp garlic, finely chopped
4 oz grated carrots (optional)
2 tsp chopped celery
4 oz mayonnaise (optional)
2 large eggs
2 2/3 cups evaporated milk
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp mustard
1 tsp fine thyme
A pinch of cayenne pepper, optional
3½ cups grated New Zealand cheddar cheese (local cheese), reserve ½ cup for topping
METHOD
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Grease a 9x11 baking dish, and set aside.
3. Boil macaroni in salted water according to package directions. Once cooked, drain the macaroni and place back into the pot, leaving it off the heat to cool down.

7. Stir in 3 cups of the shredded cheese.

1 cup parmesan, grated
1 cup mozzarella, shredded

Boil the rigatoni in salted boiling water until just underdone or al dente.

Easy, CHEAP and Delicious Mac And Cheese Pie Recipe [Budget cooking]
This easy, cheap, and delicious mac and cheese pie are perfect for both kids and adults. It's fast and easy to make, very budget-friendly and in my opinion tastier than normal mac and cheese. You can make a big batch of this mac and cheese pie and put in the fridge or even freezer because it tasted just as great after a few minutes in the microwave. You can use whatever kind of pasta you want for this mac n cheese pie recipe, I've even made it with spaghetti and it's just as delicious, so you do not need classic macaroni for this to work. I use a blend of mozzarella, American cheddar, and provolone, but you can use whatever cheese you like, but it's good if its a good melting cheese. You can eat this macaroni pie on its own, but its also a great side dish. If you want a richer mac n cheese pie you can use half milk and half heavy cream. But that's up to you. Hope you'll try this easy recipe ill guarantee you will like it.
This is what's needed to make this easy mac and cheese pie
5 eggs
400 ml of milk
salt
paprika powder
black pepper
250 grams cooked pasta
150 grams of cheese plus some extra for topping
So how to make this cheesy macaroni pie
Boil the pasta as described on the packet. Whisk together 5 eggs and 400 ml of milk. Add the spices, mix some more, add the cooked macaroni, or whatever pasta shape you like and the cheese. mix well, you want the milk and egg mixture to go into the macaroni and the cheese to be well distributed. Pour the mac and cheese mixture in a baking tray of your choice and bake at 175 degrees celsius for about 30 minutes or until set. Time will vary depending on the chape or your baking dish. Enjoy!
