How To make Cheery Cherry Muffins
2 c flour
1/3 c sugar
1/3 c maraschino cherries
quartered
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt :
optional
3/4 c buttermilk
1/4 c vegetable oil
4 tbsps cherry juice
1 egg beaten
1 tsp almond extract
4 tbsps almonds :
finely chopped
3 tbsps sugar
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease muffin cups.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cherries, baking powder and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, mix milk, oil, cherry juice, egg, and almond extract.
4. Make a well in the dry ingredients and stir in liquid just to moisten.
5. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full.
6. Combine almonds and remaining sugar; sprinkle over batter.
7. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes.
8. Cool 10 minutes before removing from muffin cups.
9. Makes 12 muffins
How To make Cheery Cherry Muffins's Videos
Easy Cherry Muffins
1 and 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cups plus 2 tablespoons of white sugar
2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup oil of choice
1/3 cup milk of choice
1 egg
1 cup or half cup of cherries, chopped
1/2 cup of chocolate chips (optional)
Preheat the oven to 400F and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners so you have everything ready to go when the batter is mixed.
Stir together the flour, 3/4 cups of the sugar, baking powder and salt until it is well mixed.
Stir in the oil, milk, and egg and mix well. If you have a few lumps it will be ok but you want to make sure the batter looks mostly uniform so the cherry muffins set up correctly.
Next, we will gently fold in the cherries and then scoop the batter into the cupcake liners we have ready. Fill the cupcakes liners about 2/3 of the way full.
Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of sugar on top of each muffin so that they come out with a sweet and kind of crunchy topping.
Bake for 20-24 minutes until golden brown or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.

In medium bowl package of muffin mix, 1/2 cup water, 1/8 cup corn syrup, 1/4 chopped dried cherries, 1/4 cup chopped nuts your choice.
Combine till mixture is smooth. Fill mini paper cups 1/2 Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes
Cool on rack Melt 8 oz. chocolate chips or milk chocolate bars with 2 Tablespoon solid shortening till smooth. Dip cooled mini's into chocolate and sprinkle jimmies/colored sprinkles your choice. Allow to cool and harden Makes 21 mini cakes/ 6 regular size muffins. ( If baking regular size muffins bake for 16- 21 minutes)
