INGREDIENTS:
2 pounds Certified Angus Beef ® chuck arm roast, cut into 2-inch cubes
3 teaspoons kosher salt, divided
1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
2 tablespoons canola oil, divided
1 small red onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon oregano
1/4 cup flour
2 (4-ounce) cans diced green chilies
5 cups beef broth
1 (14-ounce) can diced tomatoes in sauce
2 (14-ounce) cans hominy, drained of excess fluid

Easy To Make Hominy Guisado/Stew with Mexican Oregano - Hominy Recipe - At Home Mexican Cooking

Hominy is a grain-like food produced from dried maize, very nutritious, and highly characteristic of Mexican gastronomy. It is the main ingredient in dishes like Pozole and drinks like the Atole. Here, we combined hominy with beans, cilantro, and other ingredients to create a delicious stew; a great idea for lunch and dinner that will definitely satisfy you. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 Poblano pepper
1 Tomato
2 garlic cloves
1/2 onion
2 tbsp Chicken soup seasoning mix
2 cups of Hominy
1 cup of pinto beans
1/2 tbsp Mexican oregano -

Hominy Chili Recipe

1⁄2 onion, chopped
1 quart tomatoes
1 can red beans or chili beans
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
Dash cinnamon
1 can hominy
1/3 cup jalapenos (optional)
Dash sugar
1/3 beer
Sauté onions in pan until soft. Add in tomatoes, beans and seasonings. Brown hominy is separate pan and then add to chili. Stir in remaining ingredients until combined. Cook until thickened.

???? Extra virgin olive oil
???? 1 small sweet potato, peeled and cut into small cubes
???? 1 large yellow onion, chopped
???? 2 celery stalks, chopped
???? 2 carrots, peeled and cut into rounds
???? 1 red bell pepper, cored and chopped
???? Kosher salt
???? 3 garlic cloves, minced
???? 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger, more or less to your liking
???? 2 15- ounce cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed
???? 1 teaspoon coriander
???? 1 teaspoon cumin
???? ¾ teaspoon turmeric
???? Dash red pepper flakes, I used Aleppo pepper
???? 1 15- ounce can crushed tomatoes
???? 6 cups vegetable broth
???? Juice of 1 to 2 limes
???? 1 cup packed chopped fresh parsley

What's On Sale Pork Beans Hominy Soup - Glen And Friends Cooking
Ingredients:
Oil for frying
1.5 Kg (3 pound) boneless pork, trimmed and cut into 1½” pieces
1-2 poblano chiles, chopped
Large yellow onion, chopped
15 mL (1 Tbsp) oregano leaves
15 mL (1 Tbsp) ground cumin
Salt & pepper to taste
1 127 mL can chopped green chilies
250 mL (1 cup) salsa verde
1.25 L (5 cups) chicken stock
1 (540 mL - 19 ounce) can white hominy, drained and rinsed
3 (540 mL - 19 ounce) cans assorted beans, (drained and rinsed if you wish)
Method:
Heat the oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
Add the pork to the pot; cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
Stir in the onions, poblano chilies, salt, pepper, oregano, cumin, chopped chilies, salsa and chicken stock.
Cover and simmer 3-4 hours.
Stir in the beans, and hominy, cover and simmer for another hour or so.
