We use ground beef, which is mixed with finely chopped onions, chili flakes, and topped with traditional Kaymak cheese. To make this dish even better, we prepare it outdoors by the creek. cevapcici - Croatian Sausage
This is a Croatian skinless sausage - or you might call it a kebab, especially since it comes from the Ottoman Empire.
The whole thing is easy to make, anyone can do it.
1 Kg Ground Beef
6 - 8 Garlic Cloves
15 vg Kosher Salt
1 Tablespoon Sweet paprika
1/2 - 1 teaspoon cayenne
Black pepper to taste
They are simply mixed together and rolled into sausage shapes and cooked wither in a pan, a grill or an oven.

500g beef mince (lamb, beef, pork, veal can be used or in combination)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 minced onion
3 crushed garlic cloves
1/2 tsp baking powder

In this video you can see how to prepare a wonderful and traditional Bosnian dish - CEVAPI. The video aims to motivate you and show you that delicious food is not complicated. It's fun and the result is the reward! Feel free to ask in the comments. Don't head for a too detailed description or recipe. Instead, start to cook and observe how the different ingredients react with each other. Cooking is not about the exact amount, but about the right combination and preparation. Enjoy it! Ingredients:
Serves appr. 4 person
Beef neck from younger bull 1 kg
Garlic 1 gloves
Raw Milk 4 l (Alternatively use sour cream)
Bosnian Lepine 2-4 pieces
Onion
Salt'n Pepper
Prepare:
Mince the meat. Infuse water with garlic and let it cool. Put infused water in minced meat with salt. Mix and keep in a dry and cool place for around 24h or up to 72h. If you wanna do the Kajmak, then put arround 4l of raw milk in a case and leave it 48h at room temperature
Cooking: Put the meat on the grill and brush it occasionally with some beef stock. Douse the bosnian lepina with some beef stock, too and put it on the grill with the meat. After that, spread some salt over a partly cut onion and smash it while in a kitchen towel. This will enhance the flavour of the onion but decrease its sharpness. Try it!

Cevapcici (pronounced Che-Vah-Pchee-Chee) or Cevapi (pronounced Che-Vah-Pee) aside from being considered a national dish in Bosnia and Herzegovina is very popular throughout south east Europe but especially in the Balkan regions.
The dish itself consists of mixed minced meats seasoned with Garlic, Cayenne Pepper and Paprika combined and formed into sausage like shapes before being ideally grilled over charcoal but a griddle or pan works just as well. This simple dish is super for impressing your friends and family at a barbeque and as we’ve demonstrated can be served in the traditional way in a pitta bread or any flatbread, or as we’ve also shown, wrapped on a skewer similar to a kofte kebab.
They are served with Ajvar and Kajmak and both recipes are easy to prepare and the links are at the bottom. We have also added our Acar Timun which is our spicy cucumber pickle and the link for that is also at the bottom. We’re sure you’re going to love making these delicious dishes which are simple to make and deliver amazing flavours to tantalize your taste buds.

1 Egg White
5 cloves Garlic (minced)
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
