How To make Candy Cane Cookies
1 cup butter -- softened
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup finely crushed candy canes
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
Preheat the oven to 375F. In a large bowl, with an electric beater on medium speed, cream the butter and confectioners' sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and the peppermint and vanilla extracts and beat until well blended. Gradually add the flour and salt; mix well. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and chill for 1 hour. Coat two baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray. In a shallow bowl, combine the crushed candy canes and the granulated sugar; mix well. Shape the chilled dough into 1-inch balls then roll each ball in the candy cane mixture; place on the baking sheets and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until browned. Immediately remove from the baking sheets and place on wire racks to cool.

230g Unsalted Butter
160g Light Brown Sugar

✅Ingredients
• 1 cup butter, softened
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 3/4 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon red gel food coloring
✅Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven to 375°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking liner.
2️⃣ 00:16 - In a large mixing bowl cream together butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add in flour and salt and mix until well combined.
Divide dough in half. Add cinnamon to one half of the dough and dye with red food coloring.
3️⃣ 01:42 - Pinch about 1 to 1 ½ tablespoons worth of dough each from the white and red dough. Roll into about a 5 inch rope.
4️⃣ 02:00 - Place the two ropes side by side and gently twist together. Curve the top down into the shape of a candy cane. Repeat with the remaining dough.
5️⃣ 02:14 - Place onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 1 to 2 inches apart. Cookies will retain their shape.
6️⃣ 02:40 - Bake in the 375 degree oven for 7 to 10 minutes. Let sit on the pan for 1 to 2 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

These white chocolate peppermint cookies are the most popular recipe on the blog this month so I just had to make a full how to video and show you how easy these little guys are to whip up!
White chocolate chips and flakes of candy cane are held together by the tenderest cookie possible. They’ll melt in your mouth and become a holiday favorite! And yes you can sub in macadamia nuts for the candy cane if you're not a fan, that's actually one of my all-time favorite cookies!!
Candy Cane Cookies | Delish
The cuter cookie version of your favorite holiday candy.
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cookie dough and flour, using your hands to make sure it's evenly incorporated. Roll dough out to 1/4 thick, then use a candy cane cookie cutter to cut out each cookie. Place on prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until cookies are lightly golden around the edges. Let cool completely on wire racks.
3. When the cookies are cool, dip each cookie in melted white chocolate and roll the chocolate-end in crushed candy canes. Let set for about 10 minutes more.
