Juicy and Tender Beef Rump Roast!
This Beef Rump cap(Coulotte) roast recipe is so juicy, so tender, have so much flavor, you have to fight for a piece at the table!
NOTE:
This is Beef Rump Cap(Coulotte) also known as picanha, fat cap, top sirloin cap, it`s a triangle shape muscle with fat on top, don`t mistake it with the other tougher cuts from the round!!!

Recipe:
- Beef rump cap, mine was 3,3 lbs/1,5 kg
- 4-5 medium onions
- 1 tablespoon salt flakes or whatever salt you have
- 1 tablespoon peppercorns
- 1,5 tablespoons olive oil
- 1,5 tablespoons soya sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Half a teaspoon sugar
- Half a teaspoon Cayenne pepper, or a little more if you like it more spicy
- 1 teaspoon Cajun spice mix
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1,5 tablespoon/20g butter
- Half a cup/115ml chicken stock or beef
- Fresh thyme
Cook the meat in preheated oven 212F/100C, no fan and stick a thermometer in the thick part after an hour. Mine was ready in about hour and a half, so that was like half an hour per pound/0,5kg.
Mine internal temp was set on 137F/58C. If you want it more red set it to 131F/55C, for less red set it 140F/60C.

What you need for this Pot Roast Recipe

How to Cook a Perfect Pot Roast on the Stove Top
Buy a roast with some fat in it. Marbling in the meat adds flavor and juiciness; the thinner and richer the marbling, the better.
For a stove top roast preparation, use a pot with a tight fitting lid and a heavy bottom.
Season the roast generously with salt, pepper, and whatever seasonings you like. A beef bouillon paste like my mama uses in the video is delicious.
Place the pot on the stove with just a few spoonfuls of water in the bottom and add the roast.
Lightly brown the roast on high heat for a few minutes.
Reduce the heat down to low, and cover the pot with a lid.
Check the roast periodically.
The beef will release it's flavors and cook in it's own juices.
Once the roast cooks out it's juices, it will begin to reduce.
About an hour into cooking, turn the roast.
Continue cooking until the roast cooks down to it's grease and drippings.
Remove the lid, raise the heat to medium, and brown the meat a final time in it's grease.
Remove meat from the pot.
Want Gravy?
To make beef gravy from the drippings, add a bit of flour and mix well over medium heat. Stir for about
1 minute until the flour and fat are well incorporated and the flour gets a bit of color. Raise the temperature and stir in broth or water and continue
stirring until the mixture begins to boil and thicken, and extra salt and seasoning as desired and pour into a gravy bowl.

Sunday Dinner | Juicy Pot Roast with Mac and Cheese & Kale by Chef Bae | Cuttin Up With Bae |
1) 2-3 pound beef chuck roast (boneless)
2 tbsp Chef Bae Seasoning Salt
5-6 stalks of celery
2 yellow onions
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp butter
8 cloves of garlic
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp Chef Bae Pink Salt
2 cups of mini carrots
3 cups of beef broth
1 cup of red wine
1 packet of Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Soup/ Dip Mix
1 tbsp worchestershire sauce
1 tbsp browning sauce
3 tsp flour
1 cup beef broth (or you can use water)
1 large Rosemary sprig
4-5 sprigs of thyme
12-15 mini potatoes
