How To make California Cheeseburger Pie
1 lb Ground beef
2 Tomatoes, sliced
1 1/2 c Chopped onion
1 c Shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper
3/4 c Bisquick baking mix
1 1/2 c Shredded lettuce
1 1/2 c Milk
16 Slices dill pickle
3 Eggs
Heat oven to 400 degrees.Grease pie plate,10 x 1 1/2".Cook and stir beef and onion in 10" skillet until
beef is brown;drain.Stir in salt and pepper;spread in plate.Beat baking mix,milk and eggs with wire whisk or hand beater until almost smooth,about 1 minute. Pour into plate. Bake 25 minutes.Top with tomatoes and cheese.Bake until knife inserted in center comes our clean,5 to 8 minutes.Cool 5 minutes. Top with lettuce and pickles.Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Cheeseburger Pie:
INGREDIENTS:
• 1 lb (450 gr) lean ground beef
• 1 onion, chopped
• 1 tsp olive oil
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 cup (250 ml) shredded cheddar cheese
• 1/2 cup (125 ml) Bisquick mix
• 1 cup (250 ml) milk
• 2 eggs
• (optional: add frozen peas & carrots, corn, tomatoes, mushrooms as desired).
DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat oven to 400F.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and then sautee the onions until translucent.
3. Add the ground beef and cook until brown, stirring occasionally.
4. Drain any excess grease and add salt.
5. In a greased or non-stick casserole dish or pie pan, add the beef and onion mixture and then spread out evenly.
6. Add vegetables or other ingredients on top of the beef.
7. Sprinkle with shredded cheese until evenly layered.
8. In a small bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and Bisquick mixture.
9. Pour Bisquick mixture over the cheese.
10. Bake for 25 minutes or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean.
