Hey guys, I hope you guys enjoy this completely tasty vegan dish. Baked beans are a favorite and navy beans are work but it's all worth it in the end.
Ingredients
1 bag Navy Beans
1 white onion
3-4 cloves of garlic
2 teaspoons fresh ginger
1 cinnamon sticks
1 bay leaf
2 teaspoons dried musturd (it's a spice that will even out the sweetness)
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup maple syrup OR honey (I did not show the maple syrup/honey in in the video) but I did add maple syrup
3 oz tomato paste
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups vegetable broth
heat oven 350 degrees
Bring all ingredients to a boil, turn fire down to medium low and simmer for 1 hour checking on them at the half hour point.
After 1 hour put your pot into the oven and cook for about 3 hours checking on the beans every half hour and add liquid as you see fit
Once the beans are soft, the beans are complete. ???????? (unless you like your beans a bit firm)

Full Recipe:
The exact origin of baked beans isn’t clear, but there are a few theories. One theory suggests that they may have originated from a Native American dish that involved cooking beans in fat and maple syrup. Another says that the dish is based on French bean stew cassoulet.
Then, in the late 1800s, an entrepreneur named Henry Heinz introduced his baked beans to the US and later the UK. Baked beans are now common in many areas of the world.
