INGREDIENTS
1-2 lbs meat of choice .. you can use ground chicken. beef. or turkey
* used 3 lbs which can serve 6-7 people .. keep in mind meatloaf is great for leftovers such as sandwiches etc.. this also freeze well, just wrap in seran wrap and freeze*
3 slices bread
1 cup milk
eggs * 1 egg per lb of meat used *
desire amount chopped bell pepper and onion ( I used about 1/2 each*)
3 tbs wortchesire sauce
3 tbs onion and garlic powder
1 tbs salt
2 tbs beef bouillon ( or 2 packs onion soup mix )
1/2 cup bbq sauce ( or desire amount )
To make the glaze *This is to taste so please adjust to your liking *
1 cup ketchup
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup bbq sauce
3 tbs wortceshire sauce

The BEST Smoked BBQ Meatloaf
BBQ Meatloaf aka Smoked Meatloaf
Meatloaf is comfort food at its finest. I grew up in the south and my Mom made us meatloaf all the time. We didn't have a lot of money, so it was a way to feed the family a hearty meal on a budget. In the video and recipe we will substitute BBQ sauce for the traditional ketchup. We will also add my secret ingredient, Worcestershire sauce! Of course I have to add my smoke element to everything I make as I don't cook indoors. We are going to roll this low and slow on an offset smoker although it's fine to cook it hotter and can also be done on a pellet grill.
This recipe makes 2 meat loafs in a 9x13 pan. You need 4 lbs of ground meat. We typically use beef, but this is a great place to use some of that ground wild game you have in the freezer. Elk and venison are great choices!

Simple and Easy Meatloaf Recipe
Nothing says comfort food better than a good old fashioned meatloaf recipe. This meatloaf is not a complicated dish. In fact, my recipe has the most basic, simple ingredients, yet still gets 5 stars all the way!
Ingredients:
2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
2 eggs
1/2 cup onion, diced
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp chopped parsley
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 cup bbq sauce
For the Topping:
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp yellow mustard
*You'll increase the oven temperature to 400 degrees F when topped with the glaze.

If there is one thing we love around here, it is a good balance of sweet and savory, and this dish possesses just that. It’s full of spices and ingredients that add wonderful depth and smokiness to the flavor and topped off with a sticky, sweet BBQ sauce to round it all out.
You can smash this thing out in ten minutes and then allow the oven to do all the heavy lifting for you. Quick and easy, yet delicious and rewarding - every home chef’s dream!
How to make BBQ Meatloaf:
You’ll start off by getting your oven preheating to 350°F and lining a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Add breadcrumbs, salt, chili powder, pepper, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder to a large bowl and give it a mix. Stir in the milk, egg, Worcestershire, and liquid smoke. Once you have those ingredients combined, you can add in your ground beef and minced onion.
Here’s where things get a little crazy! Get in there with your hands and mix it all together until evenly combined. Transfer to the prepared pan and use your hands again to form it into a tall, narrow loaf shape.
Now add half of the BBQ sauce across the top of the loaf and transfer it to the oven to bake for 35 minutes. Pull it from the oven and carefully add the rest of the sauce before returning it to the oven for an additional 25 minutes. Once your BBQ Meatloaf is fully cooked, allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving it up. Enjoy!
