How To make BANANA WHEAT GERM brEAD
Ingredients

cup
whole-wheat flour
1/2
cup
white flour, unbleached
1/3
cup
wheat germ
1
teaspoon
baking soda
2
teaspoon
salt 1/2 c unsalted butter, softened
3/4
cup
light brown sugar, firmly packed
1
each
egg
1/4
cup
banana, extra-ripe mashed (about 3)
1/4
cup
yogurt, plain
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350'F. Coat inside of 9x5 inch loaf pan
with nonstick vegetable-oil cooking spray. Stir
together whole-wheat flour, white flour, wheat germ,
baking soda and salt in small bowl until well mixed.
Beat together margarine and sugar in medium-size
bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. Stir
together banana and yogurt in another bowl until well
blended. Mix the banana mixture alternately with the
flour mixture, in batches, into the margarine mixture;
stir just until combined. Spread the batter in the
prepared pan.
Bake in preheated 350'F. oven 60-65 minutes or
until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes. Remove bread
from pan to wire rack to cool to room temperature.

2 very ripe bananas

1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups whole wheat pasty flour or all purpose flour

Wheat Germ Honey Bread / A hearty flavorsome fast-rising dough
Ingredients
2 tablespoons yeast
2 1/2 cups warm water
1/4 honey
1/3 oil
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 cup wheat germ
7 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
Method
Sprinkle yeast over 1/2 cup warm water in a small bowl and let stand to soften and dissolve. While yeast softens, combine remaining 2 cups water with honey, oil, salt wheat germ, and 2 cups flour. Beat by hand until smooth. Beat in dissolved yeast. Wait for a couple of minutes. Beat in remaining flour and knead by hand. Knead for 5 to 8 minutes. Shape into large greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise in a warm spot for about 40 minutes until doubled.
Preheat the oven to 190*C/375*F/gas mark 5. Shortly before the bread has risen completely bake for about 40 minutes or until nicely browned remove from the pan and cool completely before slicing.
Wheat Germ Banana Muffin
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup wheat germ
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup flaxseeds (optional)
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup sunflower oil
3 Bananas
Making my Grandma's banana bread
Since everyone seems to be releasing their secret recipes, I make and share my grandmother's banana bread recipe! Stay safe everyone!
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup wheat germ
2 eggs
1/3 cup oil
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups mashed ripe bananas
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Stir in wheat germ. Beat together the wet ingredients until just moistened, do not over mix. Stir in the nuts. Pour into greased 9x5x3 pan. Bake at 350 degrees until done, 60-70 minutes. Cool in pan 5 minutes and remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
