mushrooms, fresh, sliced

onion, sliced

cup
celery, sliced diagonally
1 1/2

asparagus, fresh, steamed
11
oz
mandarin oranges, drained
2
tablespoon
vegetable oil
1/2
teaspoon
salt
1
pepper, freshly ground
2
tablespoon
sugar
2
tablespoon
soy sauce
1
boiled rice
Directions:
Shell, devein shrimp. Drain and slice water chestnuts. Arrange shrimp, chestnuts, mushrooms, onion, celery, asparagus, and oranges on large tray.
Heat oil in wok or electric skillet. Add onion, celery, salt, pepper, and sugar. Cook, stirring, until vegetables are crisp-tender. Add asparagus and shrimp. Place mushrooms and water chestnuts over shrimp. Sprinkle with soy sauce. Place orange sections on top. Cover, cook until mixture begins to steam.

Ingredients:
250g Asparagus
200g Raw Prawns
2 Cloves Garlic
1 Tbsp Cooking Wine
1 Tsp Sesame Oil
Salt to Taste
Method:
1. Finely chop the garlic
2. Cut the asparagus into about 1-inch pieces
3. Remove the intestines from prawns
4. Place prawns in a bowl, add a pinch of salt and the cooking wine, then mix well and leave to marinate for 5 minutes
5. Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a wok
6. Place garlic in the wok and fry for few seconds
7. Add the asparagus and prawns, stir fry for 3 minutes until the prawns turn pink and cooked through
8. Add a pinch of salt and stir-fry for few seconds
9. Add the sesame oil and stir
10. Transfer to a dish, serve and enjoy

Sauteed asparagus with garlic is an elegant dish served in high-end Chinese restaurants. In this article, I want to share with you the quick and easy method of how to saute asparagus with garlic in less than thirty minutes.
RECIPE:

Ingredients:
300g asparagus
4 cloves garlic
2 tbsp vegetable oil
The stir fry sauce (A)
3 tsp light soy sauce
1/4 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground white pepper
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp rice wine (optional)
1 tbsp of water
Cornstarch slurry: (B)
1/2 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp water
Instructions:
- Cut off roughly 3cm from the bottom of each spear of asparagus.
- Peel off the stringy exterior of the bottom half until they got into the tender interior.
- Blanch the asparagus in boiling water for thirty seconds or until the interior turns to semi-transparent.
- Place it immediately in ice water.
- Coarsely chopped a few cloves of garlic, and sauteed until it turns aromatic.
- Add the blanched asparagus, sauteed over high heat for a minute.
- Combine all the ingredients in (A) to make the stir fry sauce. Add to the asparagus.
- Cover the pan for one minute.
- Add a sufficient amount of the cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce. Serve.

INGREDIENTS:
1 pd. cleaned shrimp
sprinkle salt
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. sesame oil
*Mix above ingredients and marinate for 15 minutes
In a pan on medium high heat add a little oil and shrimp.
Cook for about 3 minutes or until done. Do not over cook.
Sauce:
1/3 cup water
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. oyster sauce
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 tsp. cornstarch
2 cups cleaned and cut asparagus - about 2 pieces
1 to 1/2 cups sliced bell pepper
3 julienne garden onions
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
1 Tbsp. minced ginger
oil
In a pan or wok on medium high heat add enough oil to coat bottom.
Add bell pepper and asparagus. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
Add minced garlic and ginger. Cook and stir for 1-2 minutes.
Add garden onions. Cook and stir for 30 seconds.
Add shrimp and stir.
Add sauce, cook and stir for another 30 seconds.
Serve and enjoy.
