How To make Apple Crunch Dessert

1 c Quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c Whole bran cereal
1/3 c Whole wheat flour
1/3 c Brown sugar, packed
1/4 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1/4 ts Nutmeg
1/4 ts Ginger
1/2 c Butter or margarine
1 pk Regular butterscotch pudding
-mix, 4 oz pkg. 1 1/4 c Milk
22 oz Apple pie filling
1 ts Finely shredded lemon peel
2 tb Lemon juice
Mix oats, cereal, flour, sugar, soda and spices. Cut in butter or margarine until crumbly. Pat half the mixture into a 8x8x2 inch baking dish. Bake in 350~ oven 10 minutes. Prepare pudding mix according to package directions except use the 1 1/2 cups milk. Pour over crumb layer. Mix remaining ingredients; spoon over pudding. Top with remaining crumbs. Bake, uncovered, in 350~ oven 30 to 35 minutes. Serve warm or cool with ice cream, if desired.
