1 ts Nutmeg; ground
1 ts Salt
1/2 ts Cloves; ground
1 c Walnuts; chopped
1 c Raisins
2 c Sugar
1/2 c Oil; salad
2 Eggs
Powdered sugar Sprinkle brandy over apples, and set aside. Combine flour, cinnamon, soda, nutmeg, salt, and cloves; stir in walnuts and raisins. Combine sugar, oil, and eggs; beat well, and blend into flour mixture. Stir in apples. Spoon batter into a greased 13x9x2" pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack. Sift powdered sugar over top. -----

How To Make Apple Cake With Fresh Apples.

Rich, moist, and delicious Apple cake with Fresh Apples and Apple brandy (Calvados). One of the most amazing apple cakes that you will love as much as we do. Mix your favorite apples and bake this French apple cake.
If you don’t have any Calvados, you can also substitute with any other apple brandy or white rum.
Ingredients:
28 oz (800 g) of different kind of apples (Granny Smith, Baldwin, or you can use any apple you like)
6 1/2 oz (185 g) / All-purpose Flour sieved
4 oz (113 g) of unsalted butter
4 ¼ oz (120 g) of granulated sugar or caster sugar
2 large eggs or 3 small
50 ml / 3 1/2 Tablespoons of Calvados (another apple brandy or white rum if you don't find Calvados)
4 Tablespoons of milk
1 Tablespoon of vanilla extract
1 organic lemon (juice and zest)
1 teaspoon of ground Cinnamon
A pinch of salt
2 teaspoons of baking powder
Instructions:
Remove the zest from the lemon and place it aside, squeeze the juice, and set aside.
Peel the apples cut them into slices with an apple cutter, and divide into 2 parts. Cut 1 part of the apples into thin slices, then cover with lemon juice and set aside.
Cook the remaining apples in a large pan with 1 oz (25 g) of butter and 2 oz (55 g) of sugar. Cover for a few minutes, then remove the lid and sauté the apples until they begin to caramelize. Add the Calvados, turn off the heat. Move the cooked apple into a food processor, add the ground cinnamon, and mix.
Set the oven to 175°C/350°F. Coat an 8-inch round spring cake pan with cooking spray or butter, then line the bottom and the edges with parchment paper. Melt the remaining butter and set aside.
Mix flour and baking powder and set aside.
Beat the eggs for 5 minutes with the remaining sugar and a pinch of salt, then add the lemon zest. Stir in the sifted flour mix.
Add the melted butter, then the milk, vanilla extract, and finally combine the blended apples.
Transfer the batter to the prepared pan, smooth the top and place the remaining apple in a radial pattern. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean; it will take about 45-50 minutes, depending on your oven. Let cool for 15 minutes before carefully removing from the pan (loosen the sides by running a thin knife around the edge if needed). Dust with powdered sugar and serve with Vanilla whipped cream or Vanilla ice cream.
