How To make Angel Hair Tomato Basil Toss
Ingredients

cup
oil, olive

garlic cloves, minced

sliced green onions

tomatoes, large, peeled and diced

tablespoon
basil, fresh, chopped

teaspoon
salt

teaspoon
pepper
1/2
pound
angel hair pasta, uncooked
1
parmesan cheese, grated
6
each
bacon, slices, cooked, crumbled or
1
cup
ham, cooked, chopped or
1
cup
chicken, cooked, chopped or
1
cup
turkey, cooked, chopped
Directions:
In large skillet, heat oil. Add garlic and green onions, stir-fry
for one minute. Stir in tomatoes, basil, salt and pepper; cook 2
minutes, stirring frequently.
Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain. Toss tomato
mixture with hot pasta, adding any cooked meats at this time. Serve
immediately. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

ANGEL HAIR PASTA ALFREDO - RICHARD IN THE KITCHEN
Easy rich and creamy angel hair pasta alfredo with garlic and basil recipe. I’ll also show you how to make a delicious homemade alfredo sauce in just 5 minutes. The recipe, directions and cooking tips listed below the video.
Shopping List:
1 lb. angel hair pasta
1/3 cup kosher salt for the pasta (Trust me! This is not too much salt) If you’re using table salt use only half this much.
½ cup pasta cooking water
2 cups heavy cream
1/2-1 cup salted butter
Dash of nutmeg
1 tsp. minced garlic
2-3 cups parmigiano-reggiano cheese
½ tsp. course black pepper or white pepper
Finely chopped parsley
Roughly chopped basil
Directions:
Bring 4 quarts of water to a rapid boil then add the salt. (DON’T ADD THE SALT UNTIL IT IS BOILING OR IT COULD SCAR YOUR POT).
Add The angel hair pasta to the rapid boiling water and toss around with tongs for about 45 seconds to keep from sticking. Cook the pasta 1 minute less than package directions to allow for carry-over cooking. (IT IS NOT NECCESARY TO ADD OIL TO PREVENT STICKING).
While the pasta is cooking, start the sauce. Add the butter to the saucepan over medium heat. When the butter is almost melted add the room temp heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add the nutmeg and garlic and stir for 30 seconds then remove from the heat. Whisk in the finely grated cheese and the pepper and whisk until the cheese is melted. (IT’S NOT NECESSARY TO ADD SALT TO THE SAUCE DUE TO THE SALTED BUTTER AND THE CHEESE. BOTH HAVE PLENTY SALT)
Remove the ½ cup of pasta water and set aside. (THIS IS IMPORTANT TO MARRY THE PASTA TO THE SAUCE).
Drain the pasta, but not rinse it, and then add it to the sauce along the reserved cooking water and toss until the pasta is well coated with the sauce. Add the chopped basil and parsley and toss.
Serve immediately with garlic Italian bread.

Angel Hair Pasta with Fried Chili Flakes, Lemon and Arugula

Ingredients
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus 2 tablespoons
2 cups panko bread crumbs
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
3 cloves garlic, slivered
1 teaspoon dried red pepper chili flakes
1 lemon, zested and juiced
1 pound angel hair pasta
6 cups lightly packed wild arugula (Israeli if possible)
1/2 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
Directions
In a dry skillet over low heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and the panko bread crumbs and toast until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Put into a bowl and set aside.
Set the skillet pan back over medium heat and add the remaining 1/2 cup of olive oil, the garlic and the red pepper flakes. Saute for 2 to 3 minutes to infuse the oil and cook the garlic. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Add the lemon zest and remove from the heat.
In a large pot of well-salted boiling water, over medium heat, add the angel hair pasta and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Drain and add to a large mixing bowl. While still warm, toss in the arugula, the infused oil, the bread crumbs and the cheese. Using tongs gently fold everything together and transfer to a large serving bowl or platter to serve. If desired, serve with braised braciole.
