How To make Alsatian Christmas Cookies
Ingredients

sugar
1 1/3
cup
flour
1
cup
almonds, ground, toasted
2
teaspoons
cinnamon
1/3
teaspoon
salt
3/4
cup
butter, softened
1
teaspoons
vanilla
1/4
cup
candied orange peel, minced
1
large
egg white, beaten w/2 teaspoons water for glaze
1
prepared colored icings
1
suger, for decorating
Directions:
Beat together butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Stir in flour, almonds, cinnamon and salt, blend well. Stir in orange peel. Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 375 degree F. Roll out dough 1/4 inch thickness and cut shapes with Christmas cookie cutters.
If not using icing, decorate with colored sugar or gragees before baking.
Bake 9-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Decorate with icing, colored sugars, dragees, etc. Store airtight at room temp one week, freeze longer.

French Christmas Cookies Recipe | Without Butter!
Christmas cookies or Christmas biscuits are traditionally sugar cookies or biscuits (though other flavours may be used based on family traditions and individual preferences) cut into various shapes related to Christmas.
Bredala are Christmas cookies in Alsatian cuisine of France.
160g - flour
100g - icing sugar
200g - almond flour
60g - caster sugar
10g - lemon zest
15g - cinnamon powder
2 egg whites
Glaze
250g - melted white chocolate
1g food coloring

Pfeffernüsse - German Spice Christmas Cookies | Food Wishes
The name translates to “pepper nut,” which sounds odd when you consider the original recipe didn’t call for pepper or nuts, but that aside, these are ridiculously good, surprisingly easy, and I think they are the best Christmas cookie ever. Enjoy!
