Recipe: How to Make Sausage, Peppers and Onions
1 ¾ - 2 lbs. sausage (sweet, hot, whatever kind you like)
3 – 4 large peppers sliced (whatever color you prefer)
1 large onion sliced
2-3 large cloves of garlic minced
Few leaves of basil
1/3 to ½ cup of Oil of your choice
1 28 oz. can of tomatoes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Cook sausage in oil until almost done. Remove sausage from pan and cool. Leave drippings in pan. Slice sausage in one inch pieces or use links if you like.
Saute peppers, onions, garlic and basil in the pan you used for the sausage cook for about five minutes. At this point you would add the tomatoes if using and cook with peppers for another five minutes. Don’t cook the peppers and onions all the way because you are going to cook them some more when you add the sausage. Add salt and pepper and cook for another few minutes.
Serve with salad or I like to eat it on Italian bread.

MAPLE Venison Sausage- Grandma's SECRET Recipe!
Many sausage recipes are over thought with too many additives. I found my Grandma's recipe written on an index card in a box in my attic about 10 years ago. Her recipe is a simple and delicious way to make the PEFECT sausage for wild game like venison. It is so versatile as you can use it in endless ways. It calls for:
4 pounds ground venison
2 pounds ground pork
1 minced onion
2 tbsp kosher salt
2 tbsp ground mustard
4 tsp sage
1.5 tsp pepper
1 cup of pure maple syrup
Red Pepper flakes (optional)
Make the patties and then vacuum seal and you are done. Enjoy!
