How To make Walnut Brownies
1/4 cup shortening
3 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
In a small mixing bowl, cream shortening and cocoa; beat in egg, sugar and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture. Beat on low speed until thoroughly combined. Stir in walnuts. Pour into a greased 8x4x2" loaf pan. Bake at 350 F. for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Editor's Note: This recipe may be doubled and baked in an 8 inch square pan for 20-25 minutes. Recipe submitted to magazine by Lorraine Silver, Chicopee, Massachusetts, who learned to make these brownies in home economics class. Now 41 years later she still makes these brownies. Transfer the milk in a medium saucepan on medium heat When it’s hot, add in chocolate and turn the heat off Make the chocolate mix with the milk When you have a smooth mixture let cool down Combine two eggs and sugar Whisk until bubbles start forming Add room temperature unsalted butter and vegetable oil And the melted chocolate-milk mixture Don’t forget to like if you like! Add cocoa and keep whisking Gradually add the flour Add the vanilla powder and the walnuts and gently mix Transfer the batter into a baking dish with baking powder in it Bake for around 30 minutes on 360F (180C) pre-heated oven Use a toothpick to check if it is ready

Banana Walnut Brownies (Full Recipe)
Another healthier dessert recipe just for you! This banana brownie recipe is so delicious that you won't believe it's vegan and gluten free.

Ingredients:
3 Ripe Bananas (~300g)
200g Plain Yoghurt (coconut for vegan)
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons (75g) Sugar
2/3 cup (60g) Rolled oats *or oat flour
1/2 cup (60g) Cocoa Powder
60g Dark Chocolate + 20g for topping
40g Walnuts + 20g for topping
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tin (20cm x 20cm) with parchment paper.
2. Mash your bananas with a fork then add in your yoghurt and sugar. Mix until combined.
3. Add in your oat flour and cocoa powder and mix until combined. Fold in your chopped chocolate and walnuts.
4. Transfer the brownie batter into your baking tin and add the rest of your chocolate and walnuts.
5. Bake for 30 minutes. Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then release from the pan and allow brownies to cool completely.
6. cut into squares and serve.
