Sweet and Sour Meatballs
I can’t think of a better game day or cocktail party appetizer than these retro meatballs. With a sticky, sweet-and-sour pineapple glaze, they remind me of the 60s, when the tiki bar trend really flourished in New York City. The key to keeping these tender is to not overwork the mix of pork, veal and chicken. Make extra, they will fly off of the potluck table.

Sweet & Sour Meatballs (Easy Back-to-School Dinner Recipe) | I Heart Recipes
Hi friends! These Sweet and Sour Meatballs are the perfect meal for busy weeknights. Quick, tasty and filling!
I love this recipe because I can get dinner on the table in less than 25 minutes, and my family loves it! I use Cooked Perfect meatballs which can be found in the freezer section at Walmart. They come in three varieties, but my favorite is homestyle. Follow along as I show you how easy this meal is to whip up!
These meatballs are great because they are already cooked, so you just need to heat them up. Start by browning them in a bit of oil, and then remove them from the pan. In the same pan, cook peppers and onions for just a few minutes, and remove them from the pan as well. To the pan add canned pineapple (with the juice!), sweet chili sauce, grape jelly and vinegar, and let this cook for a few minutes. Remove about a cup of sauce. In a small bowl mix the cup of sauce and cornstarch. Add this mixture to the pan, and give it a nice stir. Add the meatballs, peppers and onions back to the pan, and stir until well combined. Top off with chopped green onions, and you are good to go!
