Perfect Shepherd's/Cottage Pie That Anyone Can Make
So to me, homemade shepherds pie is technically a casserole rather than a pie but that’s beside the point. Now, this is technically a cottage pie rather than a shepherd's pie since we're using beef here. Should you want it traditional you'll just use ground lamb in place of the beef.

The Best Shepherd's Pie
The Best Shepherd's Pie
(technically, this is Cottage Pie, since it uses beef instead of lamb)
Preheat your oven to 400f
In a large frying pan over medium high heat, sauté your vegetables, mushrooms and garlic for 5 minutes. Then add beef. Once fully cooked, add the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, herbs and chicken stock. Then season with salt
Reduce for 10 minutes and add frozen peas. Smooth out and flatten the mixture, then add the mashed potatoes on top.
Bake for 30 minutes then rest for 20 before serving.

SHEPHERD'S PIE RECIPE | how to make shepherd's pie easy + healthy
Shepherd's pie is a classic comfort food recipe that's healthy, hearty and filling. The bottom layer is a simple a mix of ground lamb and vegetables, simmered into a delicious savory sauce. Then, it's topped with fluffy and creamy mashed potatoes that form a golden crust. It's an easy, cozy meal the whole family will love!
My version of shepherd's pie is easy to make and gluten-free. You could also make this recipe paleo, Whole30, dairy-free, vegan, vegetarian, low-carb and keto friendly - and all those variations are listed on the full shepherd's pie recipe blog post below. Enjoy!

Babe wanted shepherds pie 
Shepherds pie
Ingredients
1kg lamb mince
500ml beef stock
2 carrots
2 celery sticks
2 onions
5 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp flour
1 beef stock cube
2 rosemary sprigs
2 bay leaves
2 tbsp tomato puree
6 dashes of worcestershire sauce
1kg mashing potatoes
50g parmesan cheese
100g butter
150ml milk
20g breadcrumbs
1 cup frozen peas
Salt and pepper
Method
Peel your potatoes, add them in a pot with cold water and bring to boil.
Dice all of your vege and sautée them in a pan.
In a seperate pan, brown off all of your lamb mince with salt.
Add the browned lamb mince to the sautéed vege.
Stir in flour followed by tomorrow purée, worcestershire sauce and herbs.
Pour in your stock and bring to a simmer. Cook this for 35 minutes.
Once your potatoes are cooked, drain them and let them steam dry.
Add your butter and milk to the steamed potatoes, and mash.
Turn the heat off the cooked mince and veg, and stir through one cup of frozen peas.
Top this with the mash potatoes, then breadcrumbs, then grated parmesan cheese.
Bake the whole dish at 180°C for 15 minutes or until the potatoes are golden brown.
