???? The Help
✍️ Written by: Kathryn Stockett
????Categories: Historical fiction novel
►Description :
.The story is about African Americans working in white households in Jackson, Mississippi, during the early 1960s.A USA Today article called it one of the summer sleeper hits. An early review in The New York Times notes Stockett's affection and intimacy buried beneath even the most seemingly impersonal household connections, and says the book is a button-pushing, soon to be wildly popular novel. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution said of the book: This heartbreaking story is a stunning début from a gifted talent. Stockett began writing the novel — her first — after the September 11th attacks. It took her five years to complete and was rejected by 60 literary agents, over a period of three years, before agent Susan Ramer agreed to represent Stockett. The Help has since been published in 35 countries and three languages. As of August 2011, it had sold seven million copies in print and audiobook editions, and spent more than 100 weeks on The New York Times Best Seller list.

What Happens if You Can't Afford Health Care
Story of Tracy MacEwan, former teacher and now artist, who could not afford health insurance or qualify for Medicaid. He did not know he had high blood pressure and had a hemorrhagic cerebellar stroke. He was life-flighted from Lincoln City, Oregon, to OHSU in Portland, and remained semiconscious for 27 days. In the first few weeks he accrued $40,000 in medical bills which dovetailed with multitudes more in cost in ensuing months and years. He was wheel chair bound for months and has not yet completely regained his former speech abilities five years later.
Had Tracy been able to afford medical attention before his stroke his blood pressure could have been effectively controlled with medicine costing less than 50 cents a day. He and his family would have been spared the tremendous physical, financial, and psychological cost of his stroke. The Oregon Health Plan and Medicare would have been spared many thousands of dollars spent on his care.
