How To make Parsley Cheese Ball
Ingredients

cream cheese, cubed, softened
1/2
pound
cheddar cheese, sharp, cubed
1
onion salt, dash
6
each
olives, pitted, ripe
1
garlic salt, or powder, dash
3
tablespoon
sherry, dry
1
celery salt, dash
1/2
teaspoon
worcestershire sauce
1/2
cup
parsley sprigs
Directions:
Put cream cheese and olives into blender container. Cover; blend at high speed until well mixed. Add sherry and worcestershire sauce. Cover; blend at high speed until smooth. Add cheddar cheese and seasoned salts. Cover; blend at high speed until smooth. If necessary, stop blender during processing and push ingredients toward blades with rubber spatula.
Turn mixture onto aluminum foil or waxed paper. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. About 30 minutes before serving time, put parsley sprigs into blender container. Cover; blend at medium speed until finely chopped. Empty onto waxed paper. Shape cheese mixture into ball; roll in parsley to coat competely.
Serving suggestion: Serve with crackers or small rye bread slices.
Makes one 3-inch ball.

Ingredients for making a cheeseball:
1 package of cream cheese soften
1 cup of shredded marble cheese
1 cup of shredded old white cheddar
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
1 cup of bacon bits
1/2 cup chopped green onions
Fresh parsley
Instructions for making a cheese ball:
- You’ll want to start with a package of cream cheese that’s room temperature so it will be easier to mix
- Loosely stir it with a fork just to break it up a bit then add shredded marble cheese, shredded old cheddar, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, bacon bits and chopped green onion
- Stir everything together by kind of mashing the other ingredients into the softened cream cheese with a fork
- This might take a little while but hey, it’s the only real effort you have to put into this recipe
- Now lay out a large piece of plastic wrap on your working surface
- Sprinkle more shredded cheese in the centre as well as some chopped, fresh parsley this will be the kind of crust on the outside of your cheeseball
- Once you have a fairly even layer, pour the cream cheese mixture as close to the centre as you can
- Use the plastic wrap to shape the cheese by pushing it together then rotating and pushing again until you have a ball shape
- Next tightly wrap your cheese ball in the plastic wrap, twisting the ends to ensure it holds it’s shape
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until you’re ready to serve with your favourite crackers, veggies or bread

SMOKY CHEESE BALL
2- 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
16 ounces Sharp Cheddar, shredded
Sprinkle of Onion Powder to taste
1 tablespoon Whostershire Sauce
Sprinkle of Cayenne
a Heavy Sprinkle of Smoked Paprika
1 tablespoon Liquid Hickory Smoke
1/2 cup Sour Cream
1/4 to 1/2 cup Real Crumbled Bacon Bits (microwaved for 30 seconds)
1 cup chopped Pecans to roll the ball in
Mix all ingredients in a stand mixer until smooth. Roll into a ball and then roll in a pie plate in chopped pecans, smoked paprika, dried parsley and bacon bits. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm. 4 hours or overnight. Serve with plain tasting crackers to enjoy the flavor of the cheese.
Cheeseballs! with Michael's Home Cooking
I show you how to make three different cheeseballs. You can make one, two or three with adjusting this recipe.
Ingredients:
Three 8 ounce packages of cream cheese
4 ounces butter (one stick)
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon hot sauce
2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon to 1 Tablespoon worcestershire sauce ... I actually used 1/2 Tablespoon
Mix all your room temperature ingredients together, then divide into thirds.
Cheddar and Cranberry:
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
2 Tablespoons chutney
I used mango chutney (Virginia Chutney Brand)
4 or 5 ounces of dried cranberries chopped
Blue Cheese and Walnut
5 or 6 ounces blue cheese
1 Tablespoon or more of chopped shallot
2 teaspoons bourbon
4 or 5 ounces chopped walnuts
Goat Cheese and Parsley
8 ounces of goat cheese
2 Tablespoons chopped green onion tops
1 large bunch of chopped parsley
You can make and freeze this 2 weeks in advance, then defrost for a day and then cover with your topping just before serving.
The cheddar cheeseball is pretty sturdy, but the other two are pretty soft and velvety. This recipe makes three 4-inch sized cheeseballs. I like to let them sit out an hour before everybody starts digging into them.
