How To make Oh Henry Bars
BASE:
4 c Oats; quick cooking
1/2 c Sugar; granulated
1 c Sugar; brown, packed
1 c Butter; melted
TOPPING:
1 pk Chocolate chips;-6 oz.
1 c Peanut butter; crunchy
To make Base: Combine oats and sugars in large bowl. Add melted butter and mix well. Press into greased 9X13" pan and bake in preheated 350F oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare topping. Melt together chocolate chips and peanut butter, stirring to blend. Spread on top of cooked cookie base and refrigerate for 1 hour. Cut into squares before serving. Easy, better than store bought eatmore bars. #2
Homemade is better, these eatmore bars won't disappoint! They are easy to make and delicious.
Recipe and instructions:
1/2 cup syrup.
pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup cornflakes crushed
1 cup peanuts crushed (salted or unsalted)
1/4 cup peanut butter
Bring syrup, brown sugar and salt to a rolling boil. add peanut butter until well blended. Remove from heat. stir in peanuts and vanilla. Add cornflakes and chocolate chips are melted. Press into 8x8 pan.

An old family favorite is this bar cookie that we always called Oh Henry Bars. This is my Brother Brad's 50th birthday so I pulled the recipe card to surprise him. Chocolate and Peanut butter topping on a sweet buttery oatmeal base. Try it!
