How To make Meat and Sweet Potato Pie
1 lb Ground beef
1/2 c Bread crumbs
1/4 ts Allspice
1/4 ts Nutmeg
1/8 ts Black pepper
Dash of salt 2 cn (16 oz) sweet potatoes,
Drained 1/4 c Brown sugar
1/4 c Milk
2 Eggs
1 tb Butter,softened
1 tb Lemon juice
1/4 ts Cinnamon
About 1 1/2 hours before serving,combine ground beef,bread crumbs,allspice,nutmeg,pepper and 1 tsp. salt by hand.With fingers,press mixture to bottom and side of 9" pie plate just to rim;refrigerate. In large bowl,using a potato masher,mix sweet potatoes with remaining ingredients and 1/2 tsp. salt until smooth.Spoon sweet potato mixture into pie shell,spreading to edge to seal. Bake in a 400 degree oven about 50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.Makes 6 servings.

Sweet Potato Shepherd's Pie Recipe || Healthy & Delicious
Healthy & delicious sweet potato Shepherd's Pie Recipe. This recipe is easy and a flavorful dish.

FULL RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS (24*24 cm, 9*9 inch square pan):
For the puree layer:
4-5 medium sweet potatoes
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1-2 tablespoon olive oil
For the meat layer:
600 gram (21 oz) ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 medium carrot
2 garlic cloves
2 tablespoons tomato paste (about 100 gram, 3.5 oz)
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Salt- as much as you like (we will add at the end)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup water
INSTRUCTIONS:
Puree layer:
1. Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into large pieces. Place the sweet potatoes in a medium pot with hot water, cover and bring to a boil. Cook for 30 minutes or until they tender.
2. Transfer the sweet potatoes to a bowl (do not pour the liquids of the sweet potatoes yet) and mash them with a fork or with a potato masher.
3. Add olive oil, salt and pepper and mix well. If necessary, add 2-3 tablespoons of the cooking water of the sweet potatoes. (I added two tablespoons).
Meat layer:
1. Chop the onion and garlic cloves. Grate carrot.
2. Heat olive oil in a medium pot over high heat. Sauté the onion 5 minutes on a high heat. Stir occasionally. Add the garlic and sauté for another minute.
3. Add the ground beef and cook for 5 minutes over high heat or until the meat is no longer red. While mixing well with a spoon and crumble the meat (crush with the spoon).
4. Add the carrot, spices (the salt we will add at the end), tomato paste and water. Stir for 3-5 minutes.
5. Cover with a lid and cook the meat on low heat for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
6. Open the lid and evaporate liquids if necessary (evaporate the liquids - cook for a few more minutes on high heat while stirring).
7. Taste and add salt if necessary. Sometimes the meat is a bit salty and then there is no need to add salt. Recommend tasting before adding salt to meat.
8. Preheat oven to 380F (190C).
9. Layer the meat mixture in a 9*9 inch baking dish. Spread the puree over the meat mixture. Spread a bit of olive oil. Align with a fork along the layer of sweet potatoes.
10. Bake for 30-40 minutes. Or until the mashed sweet potato is golden brown.
COMMENTS/ UPGRADES:
• You can add potatoes instead of sweet potatoes.
• You can add parsley to the meat mixture.
• You can use another vegetable oil instead of olive oil.

Fried Sweet Potato Pie
Ingredients;
1 Medium Sweet Potato (Baked & Mashed)
2 Pillsbury Pie Crust
Vegetable Oil
1/3 Cup of Sugar (More or Less)
1/3 Cup of Light Brown Sugar (More or Less)
1 Tsp of Cinnamon
1 Tsp of Vanilla
You could use leftover sweet potato pie filling if you have any.
Directions
1. Bake and Peel Sweet Potato
2. Add Sweet Potato and all other ingredients to a bowl and mix well.
3. Roll pie crust out on a floured surface.
4. Use a large cookie cutter or bowl and knife to cut circles out of the crust.
5. Once circles have been made, brush water or egg wash around the edge. This will help seal your crust.
6. Place pie filling into center of crust and fold over to close. Be careful not to add too much filling so it doesn't spill out.
7. Use a fork to crimp the edges down.
8. Heat vegetable to about 330 degrees. I recommend deep frying these but you could fry in a skillet also.
9. Fry for 2 minutes per side or until golden brown. These cook quickly so don't walk away.
10. Once done, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and serve warm. Enjoy!
