How To make Fruit Biscuits
1 c Flour 3/8 c Milk
2 ts Baking powder 1/4 c Chopped raisins
1/4 ts Salt 1/4 ts Cinnamon
1 1/2 tb Shortening 1 tb Melted butter or butter
1 tb Sugar -substitute
Sift flour, measure, and sift with salt and baking powder. Cut in shortening. Add milk to form soft dough. Turn onto lightly floured board. Pat into sheet 1/2 inch thick. Knead lightly. Spread 1/2 of dough with melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, and raisins. Fold dough 1/2 over. Cut with floured cutter. Place on un-oiled baking sheet. Bake in hot oven (450? Eggless Tutti Frutti Cookies or fruit biscuits is a yummy and easy tea time cookies or biscuits recipe made without eggs. The biscuits are also known as Hyderabad Karachi Bakery style biscuits because of the use of tooty frooty bits. These tooty fruity cookies turn out absolutely crunchy & delicious. They are also sometime called custard cookies or custard biscuits because of the use of custard powder. You can make them on Christmas or as Diwali Holi snacks too.

Here is my Karachi Bakery Inspired Eggless Fruit Biscuit Recipe
Karachi Biscuits:
All purpose flour: 70g
Custard powder: 75g
Icing sugar: 35g
Salt: 1/4 tsp
Unsalted butter: 75g
Tutty frutty: 50g
Chopped cashews: 50g
Mixed fruit essence: 1/8 tsp
Milk: 1 tbsp
Cookie cutter: 6.2cm×6.2cm.
Method:
1. In a bowl sift all purpose flour, custard powder, icing sugar and salt.
2. Add cold unsalted butter and run with your fingetips to get sandy texture.
3. In this add tutty frutti and chopped cashews then mix again.
4. Lastly add in mixed fruit essence and milk, then mix everything to get smooth dough.
5. Roll the dough between 2 butter paper until 5mm thickness.
6. Keep it in the fridge for 10 minutes.
7. After 10 minuts cut it with square cookie cutter and place it in a lined baking tray.
8. Bake them at 180°C for 10-12 minutes.
Total numer of cookies: 12

Dried Fruit Biscotti Recipe
Dried Fruit Biscotti are absolutely wonderful for morning hot tea or coffee. These are made with dried cranberries, plums, apricots and raisins that bring an amazing taste.

Ingredients
Makes about 25 biscotti
1 stick (110g) butter, room temperature
1/2 cup (100g) sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp (6g) baking powder
Finely grated zest of 1 lemon
1 tsp (5g) vanilla extract
1 cup mix of dried fruits (cranberries, plums, apricots and raisins)
1 1/4 cup (160g) all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (50g) nuts, optional
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl beat butter and sugar until creamy, then add eggs, lemon zest and vanilla extract. Stir well.
3. Add baking powder and flour and mix until well blended. Stir in dried fruits.
4. Pour the dough into one long loaf or 2 smaller loafs into the prepared baking tray. The dough is pretty sticky so you can wet your spatula or use flour to be able to give the right shape.
5. Bake for about 25 minutes, remove from the oven and let cool for about 30 minutes. Cut into 1/2 inch diagonal slices and place them on the baking tray. Bake for another 15-17 minutes until golden brown.

Today's recipe is crunchy Tutti Frutti Cookies.
Ingredients :
1/3 bowl ghee
1/3 bowl powdered sugar
1 bowl all purpose flour
1 tsp Vanilla extract
2 tbsp custard powder
2 tbsp Tutti frutti
1/ 2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp milk
RECIPE of TUTTI FRUTTI COOKIES
Step 1 : Take a bowl and beat ghee and powdered sugar with a whisk.
Continue beating until it become soft and fluffy.
Step 2 : Then sieve 1/2 bowl of all purpose flour and mix them well.
Step 3 : After mixing it put Vanilla extract and mix them again.
Step 4 : Sieve remaining all purpose flour in the bowl .
Step 5 : Also put custard powder, tutti frutti and baking soda in it.
Step 6 : Combine all the ingredients together to make a fine soft dough. You can use more milk if it is needed to make a dough.
Step 7 : Then make two thick rolls of 5 cm of the dough.
Step 8 : Cover them with dry cloth.
Step9 : Put the rolls in the freezer for ten minutes.
Step 10 : Preheat oven for 15 minutes.
Step 11 : Take out the rolls from the freezer after ten minutes and cut them in rounds of 1.5 cm.
Step 12 : Now put them in the oven at 200° for 15-20 minutes.
Step 13 : Now after 15 minutes open the oven and check the above surface of the cookies whether they are slightly hard. If they become slightly hard then your cookies are ready. When cookies are hot they are soft from inside.
Step 14 : So let them to cool down completely.
Serve these delicious crunchy cookies with tea and coffee.
