How To make Firinda Pilav(Rice Pie)
2 c Fresh squeezed tomato juice
1 c Lamb or beef broth
1/4 c Butter
Salt 1 c Long-grain rice
1 cn Green peas, drained (8.5 oz)
1 cn Sliced carrots, drained
-(8 oz) 1 pk Puff pastry sheets (17 oz)
1 Egg yolk, beaten
Combine tomato juice, broth, butter and salt in large saucepan. Bring to full boil. Add rice, cover and cook until liquid is absorbed, about 15 minutes. Stir in peas and carrots. Line 9" pie plate or other flat dish with 1 pastry sheet. Trim and flute edges. Cut remaining dough into 1/2" strips and place in crisscross pattern over rice. Trim and flute edges. Brush pastry with egg yolk. Bake at 350'F. 20 minutes. Each serving contains about: 224 calories; 372 milligrams sodium; 50 milligrams cholesterol; 10 grams fat; 30 grams carbohydrates; 5 grams protein; 1.13 grams fiber.

Perde Pilavi it means Curtain Pilav. The curtain refers to the dough which covers the pilav. Perde Pilavi is the dish thay belongs to Siirt. Siirt a small city located in the South East part of Turkey.
Most of the time it is usually made with chicken, but it's possible to cook with Lamb meat. Other characteristics of the Perde Pilavi are, almonds,pinenuts, currants and the spices.
Ingredients:
For the chicken:
2 cups of long grain rice
Chicken breast
3 bay leaves
½ onion
½tsp black pepper
1tsp salt
For the Pilav:
2cups of long grain rice
1tsp of almonds
1tsp olive oil
1tsp of pinenut/fistik
2tsp currant/kuş üzumü
1tsp butter
Salt tt
½tsp paprika
½red pepper
½black pepper
2½cups of chicken stock
½tsp cinnamon
For the dough:
2tsp butter
2tsp plain yogurt
⅓cup olive oil(cooking oil)
1egg
½tsp salt& baking powder
2½cups flour
Turkish Rice Pudding | Firin Sutlac | Milk Pudding
Today lets learn to make Turkish-style Baked Rice Pudding. Non-pasteurized milk is best to make fırın sütlaç. This baked rice pudding is very tasty and holds a very special place in Turkish cuisine. Turkey is famous for its wide selection of milk-based desserts and puddings.
►Ingredients
Rice - 1/2 cup
Water - 1 cup
Milk - 3 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
Milk - 3/4 cup
Corn starch - 3 tbsp
Egg yolk - 1
►Method
1. Cook rice in water.
2. Add milk, sugar and cardamom powder and boil it.
3. Add milk and cornflour mix and make it slightly thick.
4. Pour in a bake-proof bowl.
5. Mix egg yolk with milk and pour 1 tbsp on top of the pudding and bake or grill till brown spots.
6. Serve hot or cold.

Ingredients
1 lt of fresh milk
1 cup of rice
1 lt of water
3 tbsp of rice flour
1,5 cup of granulated sugar
200 ml of fresh milk
Powdered cinnamon
Preparation
1- Wash and drain 1 cup of rice and pass into a large pan.
2- Add 1 lt of water, boil and simmer until the rice is cooked.
3- Add in 1 lt of fresh milk and bring to a boil.
4- In a separate bowl; whisk 3 tbsp of rice flour with 200 ml of fresh milk.
5- Add 1-2 ladle of boiling liquid into milk-and- flour mixture to make it warm. This method is used to prevent flour from getting lumpy.
6- Pass the flour mixture into the pan while whisking.
7- Let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes after boiling.
8- Finally add 1,5 cup of granulated sugar and let the mixture simmer for 2 more minutes. Take the pan off the stove top.
9- Divide the pudding among serving cups or bowls and set aside to cool down.
10- Sprinkle with powdered cinnamon before serving.
11- Enjoy!

Oven baked rice with chicken and vegetables- firinda tavuklu pilav- riza sa piletinom
This recipe is one of my favourites. It's a very good main dish with rice chicken and vegetables. You can use any rice that you want. I used brown rice. For this recipe you will need:
2 chicken drumsticks
1 liter water
1 table spoon oil
1 table spoon seasoned salt (vegeta)
1 table spoon salt
3 table spoons oil
1 onion
1 carrot
1 tomato
1 red paprika
1 zucchini
1 table spoon seasoned salt (vegeta)
1 table spoon salt
1 tea spoon black pepper
750 ml chicken broth
