How To make Favourite Banana Bread
Ingredients

sugar 1/3 c butter, or margarine softened

each
eggs
1/2
cup
mashed ripe bananas
1/3
cup
water
2/3
cup
flour, all-purpose
1
teaspoon
baking soda
2
teaspoon
salt 4 ts baking powder
1/2
cup
nuts, chopped
Directions:
Heat oven to 350F. Grease bottom only of loaf pan, 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 or
9 x 5 x 3 inches. Mix sugar and margarine in 2 1/2-quart bowl. Stir in eggs
until blended. Add bananas and water; beat 30 seconds. Stir in remaining
ingredients except nuts just until moistened; stir in nuts. Pour into pan.
Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 8-inch loaf 1
1/4 hours, 9-inch loaf 55 to 60 minutes; ccol 5 minutes. Loosen sides of
loaf from pan; remove from pan. Cool completely before slicing. 1 loaf
(24 slices); 120 calories per slice.
Refrigerate no longer than 1 week.

BANANA BREAD RECIPE
Ingredients
2 Cups / 250g Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Salt
3-4 Over Ripe Bananas
2 Eggs
½ Cup / 100g Brown Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
⅓ Cup / 80ml Oil
Instructions
In a medium sized bowl mix together the flour, baking soda and salt.
In a smaller bowl mash the bananas. You can keep them chunkier or mash them until completely smooth depending on your preferences.
Add the eggs, sugar, vanilla, and oil to the bowl with the mashed bananas and mix until well combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients and fold the batter together until combined.
Pour the banana bread batter into a lined and greased loaf tin and bake in a 180C / 350F oven for 50-60 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Leave to cool in the loaf pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Add ½ a cup of dark chocolate chips for a banana and chocolate loaf.
Keep the banana bread in an airtight container, it will stay fresh for 2-3 days.

The Best Banana Bread Recipe | Nostalgic Farmhouse Cooking
This banana bread recipe is simply the BEST! It comes together quickly and easily. It’s definitely a family favorite! Use up ripe bananas or even frozen bananas on this bread recipe and top it with my favorite sweet glaze!

If there is one recipe on my blog that I have made a thousand times over, it would have to be my recipe for banana bread!
Every time there are freckled bananas sitting on our countertop, my boys beg for banana bread!
How to make banana bread:
Mash up 3-4 ripe or overly ripe bananas. The more brown spots, the sweeter they will be!
Mix together with one cup of sugar. Yes, this is a sweet bread! Such a treat!
Add your vanilla, baking soda, melted butter and one egg.
Mix well and then add in the flour.
Complete your bread with walnuts or chocolate chips if you prefer.
Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour or until a toothpick runs clean.
Top immediately with the sweet glaze icing.
How to make sweet glaze:
Melt the remaining 3 tablespoons butter. Mix in about a half cup of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Add a splash of milk to thin if needed. If too thin, keep adding powdered sugar until you get the right consistency.
The sweet glaze will melt over the top but will set up after the bread cools. It’s definitely the icing on the cake! YUMMY!

BETH’S ULTIMATE BANANA BREAD
Makes 1 loaf
*PRINT RECIPE HERE*
INGREDIENTS:
4 overly ripe, mashed bananas
3 eggs
3/4 cup (180 ml) of canola oil
¼ cup (60 ml) of water
½ cup (100g) of sugar *I find this is enough sugar if adding the chocolate chips but if you have a sweet tooth I would increase it to 3/4 cup (150g)
1 tbsp (15 ml) vanilla
2 ½ cups (300 g) of flour
1/2 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
2 teaspoons (10 ml) baking soda
½ cup (75 g) of bittersweet chocolate, chopped
½ cup (75 g) of Pecans or Walnuts
METHOD:
Preheat oven to 350F (176C) degrees. Spray a 9” x 5 (23cm x 13cm) loaf pan with baking spray.
In a medium bowl mix dry ingredients and set aside. In a large bowl mix wet ingredients until combined.
Combine the dry into the wet, 1/3 at a time, being careful not to over mix! (Or you will have tough bread!) Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.
Pour into a loaf pan. Bake for 55 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean.
If bread starts to brown too much on the top, cover with foil and continue to bake until cooked through. Slice into thick slices and serve
