How To make Date Pinwheel Cookies (100 Yr Old Recipe)
1/2 c Butter
1/2 c Margarine
1 c Sugar
1 c Brown sugar
2 Eggs
1 ts Baking soda
3 3/4 c All purpose flour
filling:
1 lb Dates
1/2 c Sugar
1 c Water
1/2 c Chopped walnuts
` Mix dough ingredients well and make into three balls. Filling:Combine ingredients in 2 quart saucepan and boil until dates are very soft. Mix well and cool. Cookies:Roll each ball of dough between wax paper to about 1/4 inch thickness. Spread with date filling and roll as a jelly roll.
Chill about 1 hour. Slice and bake at 375~ for 10 to 15 minutes. This recipe is nearly 100 years old. These cookies are great at Christmas time. -----

Kukis Kurma Spiral
Bahan A
43g mentega pilihan, suhu bilik
100g gula perang
1 telur (atau 1 sudu besar flaxseed + 1 sudu besar air)
Bahan B
120g tepung gandum
½ sudu kecil garam
Secubit soda bikarbonat
50g Jem kurma
Lenyekkan bahan A sehingga gebu. Masukkan telur dan gaul sebati.
Masukkan bahan B dan gaul sehingga mendapat doh lembut.
Biarkan rehat dalam peti sejuk untuk 30 min. Canaikan kepada bentuk segi empat tepat dengan ketebalan 1 inci.
Sapukan jem kurma. Gulungkan dan biarkan rehat dalam peti sejuk untuk 30 min.
Potong hirisan 1 cm dan bakarkan dalam ketuhar yang telah dipanaskan pada suhu 200C untuk 8-10 min.

Ingredient A
43g unsalted butter, room temperature
100g light brown sugar
1 egg ( or 1 tbsp flaxseed + 1 tbsp water)
Ingredient B
120g all purpose flour
½ tsp salt
A pinch of baking soda
50g Date Jam
Cream ingredient A till fluffy. Add in egg and mix well.
Add in ingredient B and mix till you form a soft dough.
Leave to rest for 30 mins. Roll out into a rectangular 1 inch thick piece.
Spread date jam. Roll and leave to rest in fridge for another 30mins.
Cut across about 1 cm thick. Place on line baking tray and bake at 200C for 8-10 mins.

Peppermint Pinwheels Cookie Recipe
Ingredients
3 1/2 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 pound Butter
1 1/2 cups Sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla
2 Eggs
6 tablespoons crushed Candy Cane
2 ounces Unsweetened Chocolate, melted
Directions
Step 1
Combine dry ingredients.
Step 2
Cream butter and sugar.
Step 3
Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
Step 4
Divide dough in half. Put melted chocolate in 1/2 and candy cane in other half.
Step 5
Flatten and refrigerate one hour.
Step 6
Roll each half into a rectangle, 16x9 inches.
Step 7
Lay candy cane half on chocolate half and roll. Roll, starting with long side.
Step 8
Chill 1 hour.
Step 9
Cut into 1/4 inch slices.
Step 10
Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.
