How To make Chocolate Jimmy Cake with Frosting
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup margarine
2 cups powdered sugar
4 egg yolks
1 cup coffee
cold
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
pinch salt 1 cup jimmies
4 egg whites :
beaten
*FROSTING*: 1/4 pound butter
1/4 pound margarine
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Cream shortening and margarine. Add powdered sugar and mix. Add egg yolks and coffee. Mix in flour, salt and baking powder. Add jimmies. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in springform pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Frosting: Cream butter, margarine, granulated sugar and powdered sugar well. Add 4 Tbsp. flour, 1 T. at a time. Add 1/2 cup room temperature milk. Beat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla. (May need to warm milk 20 - 25 seconds in the microwave.)

Recipe -
525g plain flour
550g caster sugar
95g cocoa powder
3/4 tsp salt
1.5 tsp bicarbonate of soda
zest of 3 oranges
5 lg free-range eggs
350ml coffee
350ml buttermilk
320ml vegetable oil
400g unsalted butter, soft
900g icing sugar, sifted
4-6 tbs freshly squeezed orange juice
250g dark chocolate, melted

It gets its name from the ingedients:
1 cup of butter, 2 cups of sugar, 3 cups for flour and 4 eggs.
Ingredients
2 sticks butter, at room temperature
2 cups granulated sugar
3 cups self-rising flour, sifted
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°.
Step 2
Grease and flour 3 (9-inch) cake pans. Using an electric mixer, cream butter until fluffy. Add sugar and continue to cream well for 6 to 8 minutes. Add eggs,1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
Step 3
Add flour and milk alternately to creamed mixture, beginning and ending with flour. Add vanilla and continue to beat until just mixed. Divide batter equally among prepared pans. Level batter in each pan by holding pan 3 or 4 inches above counter, then dropping it flat onto counter. Do this several times to release air bubbles and assure you of a more level cake.
Step 4
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Cool in pans 5 to 10 minutes. Invert cakes onto cooling racks. Cool completely and spread cake layers with your favorite frosting to make a 3-layer cake.

Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting
4 Cups of confectioner's sugar
2 sticks softened salted butter
2-3 tsp pure vanilla extract
2/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2-5 tbsp of heavy whipping cream
You can sub half and half or whole milk.

Maida 1 1/2 cup
Sugar powder 1 1/2 cup
Eggs 2
Baking powder 1 1/2 tsp
Baking soda 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Cocoa powder 6 tbsp
Oil 1/2 cup
Vanilla 1 tsp

How To Make a CHOCOLATE LETTERING CAKE

INGREDIENTS:
Chocolate Cake~
I used Emma Goodies recipe:
Chocolate whipped cream~
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2oz melted chocolate
1. Whip heavy cream and sugar until you reach soft peaks.
2. Add in melted chocolate and continue whipping until the cream forms medium stiff peaks.
Fudge Filling~
- 100g powdered sugar
- 40g cocoa powder
- 38g soft butter
- 25g boiling water
- 15g melted dark chocolate
- Pinch of salt
1. Sift together dry.
2. Add butter and boiling water. Mix.
3. Mix in melted chocolate.
4. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
5. Ready to use!
Chocolate ganache~
- 1.5oz dark chocolate
- 1oz heavy cream
1. Heat cream in microwave for 30 seconds.
2. Pour hot cream over dark chocolate. Let sit for 1 min.
3. Stir until chocolate melts, and ganache is silky smooth. Use as drip when it is warm NOT HOT.
