1/2 c Butter 1/2 c Packed brown sugar 1/4 c Bourbon 1 c All-purpose flour 3 tb Unsweetened cocoa powder 1/2 c Miniature semisweet Chocolate pieces 1 Slightly beaten egg white 1 c Finely chopped pecans In a large mixer bowl beat margarine or butter and sugar with electric mixer on medium speed till fluffy. Add bourbon; beat well. Gradually add flour and cocoa powder, beating till well mixed. Stir in chocolate pieces. Chill 2 hours or till firm enough to handle. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in egg white, then in nuts. Place on a lightly greased baking sheed. Bake in a 350 F oven about 12 minutes or till edges are firm (The center will still be soft). Cool on bakin sheet for 1 minute. Finish cooling on wire racks. Makes about 30

This episode, on bourbon brownies, sounds very bougie, like a dessert to be served with an expensive glass of liquor and cigars in the smoking room. But these brownies have plenty of kick on their own with the Rough Rider Bourbon from Long Island Spirits, and the caramel sauce on top is pretty lethal too. Finish it with flaky salt and devour!
