How To make Chicken Mushroom Pie with Dill Crust
2 1/2 c Chicken; diced cooked 1 ts Steak sauce
1 c Cream of celery soup 1/2 ts Marjoram; crumbled
2 Jars Mushrooms; (2.5 oz. eac 1/2 pk Piecrust mix
1/2 c Celery; sliced 1/2 ts Dillweed
1/2 c Green pepper; diced
DIRECTIONS: Combine chicken, celery soup, mushrooms with liquid, celery, green pepper, steak sauce and marjoram in a large skillet. Heat slowly until bubbly hot, about 10 minutes. Turn into a 4-cup shallow baking dish. Prepare piecrust mix, following label directions, adding dillweed with wa- ter. Roll out to fit top of baking dish; cover pie; turn edge under, flush with rim; flute. Cut a 6-inch "X" in center of pastry. Fold corners back. Bake in a very hot oven (450^F.) for 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. -----

Chicken pot pie is, as advertised, a (savory) pie made of chicken. There is gravy flecked with herbs, there is tender chicken, there is buttery, flaky crust. It's the big spoon to your little spoon, truly one of the more comforting things you can make and eat. Using store-bought puff pastry makes it a pretty unfussy thing (I promise), but pie crust is also a great option for the top. Delicious Chicken and Mushroom Pie Recipe with Puff Pastry
In this video, we will show you how to make a mouth-watering chicken and mushroom pie with puff pastry from scratch. Our easy-to-follow recipe will guide you through every step of the cooking process, ensuring a perfect result every time. This pie is perfect for a quick and easy family dinner, or as a crowd-pleasing party appetizer.
INGREDIENTS
For stuffing:
One boiled chicken breast (into small cubes)
8 OZ (227g) white whole mushrooms Champignon (cut into slices)
Two onions (cut into small cubes)
1 -2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
¼ cup fresh parsley (chopped)
¼ cup fresh dill (chopped)
2 tbsp shredded Parmesan Cheese
2-3 tbsp mayonnaise
One sheet of Puff Pastry
One egg
1 tbsp flour
Put water in a pan and bring to a boil. Add the salt. In a pot over medium-high heat, add chicken. Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to medium. Cook breasts just until the meat is cooked.
Cut the mushrooms into slices. Cut the onion into small cubes. In a dry frying pan, toast the mushrooms over medium heat, until golden. Add the oil. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, for 1 to 2 minutes, until light gold. Add the salt and black pepper. Remove from heat. Set aside to cool.
Cut the boiled chicken breast into small cubes. Transfer to a large bowl. Add the prepared mushrooms. Chop the parsley and add to the bowl. Chop the dill and add to the bowl. Add the shredded Parmesan Cheese. Add the salt and black pepper. Add the mayonnaise. Stir that together until the ingredients are combined.
Lightly flour the board. We need sheet of Puff Pastry. Lightly roll out the dough to make it thinner. Put the prepared stuffing on half of the dough. Beat the egg. Brush the beaten egg around the edge of the dough. Cover with the second half of the dough. Put the parchment on a baking sheet. Transfer the pie to the prepared baking sheet. Make a few light cuts on top of the dough. Brush the beaten egg on the top of the pie. Lightly sprinkle with sesame seeds. Preheat the oven to 400F (200C). Bake for 20 minutes. Try it and you will fall in love!

So for tea tonight we had this delicious chicken & potato pie! Basically a creamy chicken in white sauce, toped with creamy mashed potato and cheese :) It’s so lovely…and perfect for these colder nights!

What I used - Serves 5-6
3 Chicken breasts, 10 boneless & skinless chicken thighs or fillets (poached then chopped into chunks)
200g/2 cups Sliced button Mushrooms
1 Medium size leek - sliced
1 Teaspoon minced garlic
1 Tablespoon fresh tarragon
1 Teaspoon dried sage
2 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons plain/all purpose flour
1 Heaped teaspoon English mustard
1 Heaped teaspoon wholegrain mustard
400ml/1.7 cups Chicken stock
200ml/1 cup Double or heavy cram
2 Tablespoons creme fraiche
1KG/2.2 lbs Potatoes - I used Maris Pipers
A good dash of salt
A splash of cream
A splash of milk
A tablespoon of butter
A handful of grated cheese, I used mozzarella

Ingredients:
- Butter 3 tbs
-Onion 3 tbs
-All purpose flour 2 tbs
-Milk 1 cup
-Red chili flakes 1/2 tsp
-White pepper powder 1/2 tsp
-Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
-Garlic powder 1/2 tsp
-Salt 1 tsp or to taste
-Boiled and shredded chicken 1 cup
-Capsicum 2-3 tbs
-Fresh coriander 2 tbs
-Soy sauce 1 tsp
-Puff pastry sheets
-Egg 1
Directions:
-In a pan add butter, onions and fry until translucent.
-Add all purpose flour and roast for 2 minutes. add milk and mix until slightly thick. add red chili flakes, black pepper powder, white pepper powder, garlic powder and salt. mix and cook until thickens.
-Chicken filling is ready, let it cool.
-Take puff pastry sheet, brush some egg, add 1 tbs of prepared chicken filling and fold in a triangle shape. brush with egg and bake in pre-heated oven at 200c for 20 - 25 minutes.
