Cashew Cream | Cool Original Cashew Cream
This cashew cream tastes almost like cool original Doritos.
Make your own cashew cream instead of using store-bought mayo. It is so much tastier and healthier too.
Ingredients
100g unsalted cashews
1/2 tsp onion powder
2 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp pink salt
100ml water
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
100g plain natural soy yoghurt
Method
Step 1
Soak the cashew nuts in hot water for 1 hour
Step 2
Drain and rinse the cashew nuts and add them to a high-speed blender with 100ml of cold water, onion granules, garlic, nutritional yeast, lemon juice and salt.
Step 3
Blend until very smooth. Place into a jar and mix in the yoghurt. Store in an airtight container in the fridge. This will keep for 4-5 days.

Cold method: soak raw cashews for 2-3 hours.
Hot/Quick method: soak raw cashews in boiled water for 15-30 minutes.

How to make cashew cream
In this video I show you how to make Cashew Cream. Cashew Cream is so versatile. You can use Cashew Cream on tacos or burritos, in soups etc. It is a great sour cream substitute.
ingredients:
1 cup organic, unsalted cashews soaked overnight in water.
juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp of apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup filtered water
salt and pepper to taste.
drain cashews and add to blender along with the other ingredients and blend add more water to make as thin or thick as you like.
