How To make Brown Sugar Apple Pie Butter Busters
1/2 c Light brown sugar; or
1/4 c Light brown sugar; and
1 ts Sweet 'n low brown
1/2 c Sugar; or
1/4 c Sugar; and
3 pk Sweet 'n low
2 tb Flour
1 ts Cinnamon
1/2 ts Nutmeg
1/8 ts Lite salt; optional
6 c Thinly sliced peeled tart; a
1 1/2 ts Grated lemon peel
2 tb Liquid butter buds
1/4 c Egg beaters; crust
2 c Flour
1 ts Lite salt; optional
1/2 c Promise ultra fatfree; marga
3 tb (to 4) cold water
Crust: Blend all ingredients well but do not overwork. Divide dough in half and roll out each half sparately to make top and bottom crusts. Preheat oven to 425F. In a large bowl, mix sugars, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and lite salt. Add apples; toss to combine. Turn into pie crust. Sprinkle with grated lemon peel. Drizzle Butter buds over top. Fold top crust in quarters. Carefully place so point is at center and unfold. Use scissors to trim overhang to measure 1" all around. Moisten edge of bottom pastry with a little water. Fold top pastry under edge of bottom pastry. Press edges with fingers to seal. Press upright to form rim. Crimp by pinching with thumb on edge of pastry at an angle. Repeat all around pie. Mix the Egg Beater and 1 tablespoon water and brush crust. Slit top for ventilation. Bake 45-50 minutes or until crust is golden brown. To keep the edges from burning, wrap foil over edges for the first 35 mintues of baking. Per sugar serving: 280 cal., 1g fat (3%), 0mg chol., 3g fiber, 5g pro., 64g carb., 138mg sod. FRUIT COCKTAIL PIE RECIPE
INGREDIENTS:
3 tins cans fruit cocktail
60 grams sugar
4 tablespoons cornstarch
4 teaspoon cinnamon
14 grams butter
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 shortcrust pastry sheets
1 tablespoon cinnamon sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
DIRECTIONS:
Drain juice from fruit cocktail, reserving juice. Mix sugar, cornstarch , and cinnamon and add to juice. Add butter and cook over low heat until mixture thickens. Butter the pie plate or tin, then line pie plate with greaseproof baking paper and then add the bottom crust/ 1 sheet of pastry. Pierce with the fork in several places. Add the drained fruit and the thickened cooked juice. Top with the second crust/sheet. Whish the eggs and then brush with egg wash. Add the vanilla sugar and cinnamon sugar and then bake in a preheated oven, at 190°C for 50 minutes or until bubbly and brown.

How to make a McDonald's Apple Pie - Copycat McDonald's Apple Pie
Hi, this is my version of the classic McDonald’s fried apple pie. You can use pie crust or puff pastry for this recipe.
Ingredients:
1 apple
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Lemon zest (optional)
Vegetable oil
Puff pastry or pie crust
1 tsp cornstarch (optional)
1 Tbs hot water (optional)
Extra sugar (optional)
Method:
Peal and chop the apples into squares. I then let the apples soak in a bowl of water with a Tbs of lemon juice to help keep the color. Drain apples then pour them into a fry pan and add the sugar, spices, and butter. I also added some lemon zest which is total optional. Cook until tender, for around 10 minutes, then let the apple filling cool. If you want the apples to have a gooey syrup, while cooking them, dissolve the cornstarch in a Tbs of hot water then mix the it into the apple mixture. Add a bit more sugar to the filling to form a thick syrup.
An apple pie is 11cm x 5cm so take that into consideration when cutting the shape out of the pastry to pie crust. Lay the pastry on parchment paper then cover one side with apples filling. Brush the edges with water before folding the top half over, then crimp the edges with a fork to firmly seal the filling inside.
Freeze until needed.
Fry the frozen apple pie in oil (350°F) for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown, flipping it halfway so both sides are golden brown..

How to make a Vegan Apple Pie for Pi Day?
Ingredients for Pastry Dough:
2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons vegan butter, chilled and diced
6 tablespoons vegetable shortening
6 tablespoons ice water
For Apple Filling:
4 pounds or 8 cups apples (Granny Smith), peeled, cored, and sliced
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons + 1 tablespoon vegan butter, melted
1 tablespoon almond milk
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Whisk together flour, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Add in small pieces of vegan butter. Use a fork to cut the vegan butter into the flour until it forms a coarse cornmeal mixture.
Mix in water a little at a time and toss with hands until you are able to form the dough into a ball.
Create 2 round disk of equal size with the dough and place it in the freezer until needed (no more than 30 minutes).
In a large bowl, toss apple slices with lemon juice.
Add brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the bowl and toss again until apples are well coated.
Place one pie dough disk onto floured parchment paper.
Line a 9 inch pie round with 1 pie dough crust and arrange apples inside.
Roll out the dough to a 12 inch circle measured across and repeat for the second pie crust round.
Slice 2 tablespoons of vegan butter into small pieces and dot atop the apples.
Place the second pie dough crust on top of the pie filling and cuts slits for ventilation.
Seal the edges by pressing the two pie dough crust together. Any crust hanging an inch or more over the pie pan edge should be removed with a knife as excess. Tuck the remaining crust beneath itself so that it fits neatly around the rim.
Use the excess dough to create a Pi symbol. Place Pi symbol on top of the pie.
Melt 1 tablespoon of vegan butter and mix with almond milk. Brush melted vegan butter and almond milk over the top crust.
Bake the vegan apple pie at 425 degrees F for 15 minutes.
Reduce the heat to 350 degrees F and bake 40-45 minutes more until the crust is golden brown and you can hear to filling bubbling.
Do not burn your tongue trying to devour this masterpiece. Allow it too cool slightly before giving in to temptation.
