Easy Broccoli & Cheese Quiche

EASY BROCCOLI & CHEESE QUICHE

Savory Broccoli and Cheese Quiche that looks fancy enough to impress any guest but is easy enough to pull together even when you're short on time.
Ingredients:
Refrigerated Pie crust dough.
8 large eggs
½ c. milk. I like to use whole milk.
3/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 small sweet onion finely diced. Some testers used preferred sauteing the onions prior to adding to the quiche and using fresh garlic. Just be sure to cool before adding to the mixture.
1 cup broccoli florets. Try to make sure they are fairly uniform in size so they will cook similarly.
2 cups pepper jack cheese shredded
Instructions:
Preheat the oven temperature to 375.
Roll the pie dough into a 9-inch pie plate. Use pie weights or beans to keep the crust (line the crust with aluminum foil first) from puffing up while baking. Blind bake the crust for about 15-18 minutes or until dry.
Meanwhile, whisk together the eggs and milk.
In a medium skillet on medium-high heat, saute the onions in a bit of butter and oil. Remove from heat. NOTE: if you like your broccoli more on the soggy side, throw them in with the onions to start the cooking prior to hitting the oven.
Stir the spices into the egg mixture, followed by the veggies and cheese, and then the cooled onions.
Pour the egg mixture into the pie crust and immediately place it on the bottom rack of the oven.. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the center is set and the outer edges of the top is turning golden brown. If the crust looks like it is getting too dark, cover it with a pie shield or aluminum foil.
Let cool about 15 minutes before serving.
MY TWO FAVORITE VEGETABLE QUICHE/SPINACH AND ONIONS BROCCOLI AND CHEESE /BIG COUNTRY BREAKFAST

Feel free to be creative and switch it up with your favorite cheeses, vegetables, or meats to make it perfect suit your taste!
THIS RECIPE IS FOR TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF QUICHE
Ingredients:(BROCCOLI AND CHEESE QUICHE)
1 pie crust par baked 3 minutes
4 large eggs
2 cup half and half or heavy cream
1 tsp salt and pepper
1 cup cooked broccoli chopped
1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
Ingredients(SPINACH AN ONION QUICHE)
1 pie crust par baked 3 minutes
4 large eggs
2 cup half and half or heavy cream
1 tsp salt and pepper
1 1/2 cups cooked spinach chopped
1 cup Swiss cheese shredded
1/2 cup Gruyere cheese shredded
1/2 cup chopped onions sauteed
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F
2. In a large bowl, mix together eggs, half and half, salt and pepper.
3. Once the pie crust is thawed, pierce the bottom with a fork then sprinkle the spinach,onions, and 1 cup of the Swiss and Gruyere cheese mix into the pie crust. Pour the egg mixture over the top
4. Bake for 25 minutes covered then cover with aluminum foil for the remaining 10 minutes if the crust starts to brown too much.
5. Once the center is completely set, let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

But here is the simplified, easy recipe:
Pie crust (I used 2 deep dish and could have doubled the ingredients below)
1 1/2 cups of cooked chopped broccoli
1/2 cup of mayo
1 small grated onion
1 tbs lemon juice
1 egg
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, plus a little extra
1 can of cream of mushroom soup

- Broccoli and Cheese Quiche -

4 cups: Broccoli florets, small
2 cloves: Garlic
1/2 tsp: Oregano, dried
Refrigerated
4: Eggs
Baking & Spices
1/2 tsp: Pepper, ground
1/2 tsp: Salt
Bread & Baked Goods
9: Pie crust, prepared
Dairy
1 cup: Cheddar, sharp
1 cup: Milk
Broccoli and Goat Cheese Quiche
1 pie crust (1/2 recipe of pie crust)
2 cups broccoli
3/4 cup cream
1/2 cup milk
2 large eggs
Freshly grated nutmeg
2 ounces soft goat cheese
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll dough thinly on light floured work surface. Line 9-inch tart pan with removable bottom with dough. Line crust with parchment paper and will with pie weights or dried beans. Blind bake 20 minutes. Remove parchment and pie weights.
While crust is baking, blanch broccoli in boiling salted water until tender crisp, about 4 minutes. Plunge into ice bath to stop cooking. Drain well and pat with paper towels.
In a medium bowl, whisk together cream, milk, eggs, nutmeg and a pinch of salt and pepper. Line crust with broccoli and goat cheese. Pour cream mixture over top, filling crust almost to top. Place on a rimmed baking sheet and bake in oven until top is lightly brown and filling is set, about 30 to 35 minutes. Remove and let cool on a wire rack. Slice quiche into wedges and serve.
Easy Game-Day Broccoli Cheddar Quiche
Quick and Easy Broccoli Cheddar Quiche Recipe:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
Whisk together 5 eggs
Add ¾ cup milk
Season mixture with salt and pepper
Place 3 cups of water into pot
Add 2 cups of frozen broccoli into pot
Cover pot and bring to a boil
Cook broccoli until crisp-tender, approximately 4 minutes
Pour into strainer
Rinse broccoli under cold water
Chop broccoli into small pieces
Pour broccoli and the two cups of cheese into bowl with eggs
Add 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese (1 cup of white sharp cheddar and 1 cup of regular sharp cheddar)
Pour into pie shell
Evenly spread mixture in pie
Put in oven and let it cook for 40-45 mins
After 25 minutes, check quiche to ensure it isn’t browning to quickly
Check quiche at 40 minutes if eggs are set in center
Remove from oven, let cool for 5 minutes
Serve and enjoy!
