How To make Apple Ricotta Pie
3/4 c Grape-Nuts cereal
2 lg Apples (Rome, Beauty),
-peeled, cored, and -sliced thin 1 ts Lemon rind, grated
1 ts Lemon juice
1/2 ts Cinnamon
1 1/2 c Ricotta
1/3 c Sugar
1 Egg white, and
1 Egg, whole, lightly beaten
1 c Yogurt, plain
Sprinkle the cereal on the bottom of a greased 8" springform cake pan. Arrange the apple slices over the cereal and sprinkle them with the lemon rind, lemon juice and cinnamon. Combine the ricotta, sugar, egg white and whole egg and yogurt in a medium bowl, mixing with a spoon until smooth. Pour evenly over the apples. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees oven for 45 minutes. When cool, go around the circumference of the pan with a knife before removing the side. -----

Cherry Apple and Ricotta Strudel

This is another one of those easy recipes that your family will thank you for. Store bought phyllo pastry is the perfect start for this easy strudel recipe. Add a can of pie cherries and couple apples - boom dessert is on the table.
Ingredients:
2 tart baking apples
398 mL can pie cherries (not cherry pie filling)
½ cup (125 mL) sugar
200g fresh ricotta
1 tsp (5 mL) finely grated lemon rind
1 tsp (5 mL) ground cinnamon
10 sheets phyllo pastry
½ cup (125 mL) butter, melted
100g almond meal
Icing sugar, to serve
Method
Pre-heat oven to 350ºF (180ºC)
Peel core and thinly slice the apples.
Toss the apples, cherries and half the sugar in a large bowl.
Mix the ricotta, lemon rind, cinnamon and remaining sugar in another bowl.
Line a baking tray with parchment.
Brush the first phyllo sheet with melted butter.
Then top with the next phyllo sheet, and brush with melted butter.
Repeat with the remaining phyllo.
Spread with almond meal, and cover with apple mixture leaving a 2” wide border around the edges.
Spoon the ricotta mixture over the apples.
Fold up the ends of the phyllo first then roll up firmly to enclose filling.
Place, seam-side down, on the prepared tray.
Brush with remaining butter.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden and crisp.
Dust with icing sugar to serve.

210 g flour
120 g butter
1 egg yolk
70 g sugar
1 tsp baking powder
a pinch of salt
30 g almond flakes
Filling 1:
250 g ricotta
1 egg white
20 g sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
a pinch of salt
Filling 2:
200 g peeled apples (2 small apples)
15 g cornstarch
2 tsp brown sugar

Ricotta Apple Pie
Ingredients for Ricotta Apple Pie for a 22cm/9-inch baking tin:
- 250 g or 2 Cups Flour
- 250 g or 1 Cup Ricotta
- 150 g or 3/4 Cup Sugar
- Half Packet of Baking Powder
- 50 ml or 1/5 Cup Milk
- 2 Apples
- 2 Eggs
(you can add a pinch of salt and some vanilla extract to the mix, not seen in video)
Pre-Heat Oven to 180°C / 350°F.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.

all purpose flour-1 cup(120 gram)
sugar-1/2 cup(100 gram)
oil-1/3 cup (60g oil)
pinch of salt
eggs-2
milk-1/2 cup (100 ml)
Baking Powder-3 tsp (12 gram)
for the frosting
butter-4 tbsp(80gram)
eggs-1
sugar-1/2 cup(100 gram)
lemon zest-1 lemon
Dice apples into 3/4 inch cubes. you could use any baking variety
mix all dry ingredients together. then add oil,eggs and milk and combine well. make it lump free.pour it into a greased pan.place diced apples on top and bake at 340 F for 30 minutes or till its cooked in the centre.
In the meantime make the frosting by mixing sugar and eggs . When its well combined add melted butter then add lemon zest
remove cake from pan and pour the frosting on top and bake for another 12 minutes.
allow to cool for 10 minutes, place a cooling rack on top and flip over . place a serving dish on top and flip back #frenchapplecake #easycake #applerecipe
