Hi Everyone! Here is part 2 of making Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies with Alex Wilson and his bakery shop The Hungry Hero! (Link below)
In this video, Alex talks about his passion of baking and his personal journey of how he started his own bakery, The Hungry Hero :)
Here's the cookie recipe:
4oz room temp butter
Half cup packed brown sugar
Half cup white sugar
One egg
One egg yolk
One tsp vanilla
6oz all purpose flour
Half tsp baking soda
Half tsp baking soda
Half tsp kosher salt
One cup chocolate chips
Half cup chopped pecans (can sub any nut)
Flake salt
Cream butter and sugar 5 minutes until light and fluffy. Bowl scrape halfway through.
On medium speed, add one egg at a time, bowl scrape in between each one. Add vanilla. Beat on high 2 minutes.
Add flour, blend on medium high for 45 seconds to one minute. Bowl scrape and add chocolate chips and nuts. Mix by hand with spatula until combined.
Scoop heaping table spoons 3 inches apart, bake at 350 for 15 to 18 minutes. Depending on the type of oven you have, times may vary.
This recipe is great because the base recipe stays the same, but mix-ins can be interchangeable.
