CRUST:
1 1/2 cups Chocolate cookie crumbs
1/4 cup Oleo melted
1/4 cup Sugar

FILLING----- 1 1/2 teaspoons plain gelatin
1/4 cup creme de menthe
1/3 cup cream
1/4 cup creme de cacao
4 egg yolks
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup sugar
Mix the crumbs, 1/4 c sugar and melted oleo. Line pie plate and bake at 450' for 5 mins. Cool. Soften gelatin in cream over hot water. Cool. Beat
sugar into yolks. Add liquors, Add gelatin and mix well. Refrigerate for 15 mins until slightly thickened. Whip cream and fold into thickened

Learn how to make Grasshopper Pie is a light and creamy no-bake pie with minty mousse filling, an Oreo cookie crust, and cool whipped cream topping with chocolate curls. Although the original recipe calls for alcohol such as crème de cacao or peppermint schnapps, we wanted to make this pie alcohol-free so everyone could enjoy it because it is one of our favorite pies.

Crust:
14.3 oz package Oreos
6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
Filling:
2 boxes instant vanilla pudding mix 3.94 oz per box boxes (you can also use cheesecake flavored pudding)
3 1/3 cups heavy whipping cream
8 oz container cool whip thawed (or homemade whipped cream)
1/2 teaspoon mint extract
mint green food coloring preferably gel food coloring
Topping:
1 cup heavy whipping cream very cold
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 dark chocolate bar
fresh mint leaves

Betty's Gorgeous Grasshopper Pie
Betty demonstrates how to make St. Patrick's Day Grasshopper Pie. The only connection this pie has to St. Patrick's Day is that it is a gorgeous green color. The pie is made of marshmallows, crème de menthe, crème de cacao, and whipped cream. It is served in a Chocolate Crumb Pie Crust and garnished with sweetened whipped cream, chocolate curls, and green maraschino cherries.
Gorgeous Grasshopper Pie
1 baked Chocolate Crumb Pie Crust (You will find a recipe for this in Betty's Kitchen. If you prefer, you may use a ready-made chocolate pie crust.)
32 large marshmallows
2/3 cup milk
¼ cup crème de menthe (You may substitute 1 tablespoon mint flavoring for a non-alcoholic version.)
3 tablespoons white (clear) crème de cacao—or crème de cocoa (You may substitute 2 teaspoons white chocolate flavoring for a non-alcoholic version. If you cannot find white, the color of the chocolate flavoring will darken the coloring of the finished pie.)
1 ½ cups chilled whipping cream
½ cup additional chilled whipping cream
small amount of confectioner's sugar
dark chocolate curls or shavings (You will find a Quick Tip on making chocolate curls in Betty's Kitchen.)
green maraschino cherries
Heat 32 marshmallows with 2/3 cup milk in a saucepan over low to medium heat, stirring constantly until marshmallows are melted. Reduce heat if the sauce begins to stick to the bottom of the saucepan, and continue to stir continuously. (If the sauce sticks to the saucepan, it will brown slightly, causing small brown flecks in your pie mixture.) Chill sauce until thickened. Blend in ¼ cup crème de menthe and 3 tablespoons white (clear) crème de cacao. Use a mixer to beat 1 ½ cup whipping cream until stiff. Fold whipped cream into marshmallow mixture. Pour into baked chocolate crumb crust. With a mixer, beat ½ cup whipping cream until stiff. Add confectioner's sugar, to taste. Place dollops of sweetened whipped cream evenly in a pattern on top of pie. Sprinkle chocolate curls or shavings on top of the whipped cream (or over the entire top of the pie). Place a green maraschino cherry on top of each dollop of whipped cream. Place pie in the refrigerator for 4 hours (or more), so that it will become firm. Cut individual slices and place them on nice dessert plates. This is a showy, dramatic dessert that tastes wonderful, and it allows you to have something green for dessert on Saint Patrick's Day! Grasshopper Pie! easy and delicious!
I made this grasshopper pie for the first time and thought it was delicious so I had to share it with everyone! It's so easy to make too!
Grasshopper Pie:
Filling: Crust:
30 large marshmallows 1 pkg graham wafers
2/3 cup milk 1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup creme de menthe
1 cup whipping cream
Filling: add marshmallows and milk, heat until melted, stir. Cool, stir in the creme de menthe. Whip whipping cream until stiff peaks form add to the marshmallows mixture.
Crust: Combine finely crushed graham wafers and melted butter together. Press 2/3 crumb mixture on bottom of 8 or 9 greased pan and pack down. Add filling mixture. Sprinkle the rest of the graham crumbs over top and refrigerate 1-2 hours.

Ingredients
▢300 grams chocolate sandwich cookies (or 2½ cups chocolate baking crumbs)
▢½ cup melted butter
▢4 Chapman's Yukon Ice Cream Sandwiches (any flavour)
▢2 litres Chapman's Markdale Creamery Mint Chip Ice Cream
▢Whipped cream, ice cream sandwich cubes, mini chocolate chips and fresh mint leaves for garnish as desired.
Instructions
Combine cookies and melted butter in a food processor and process until crushed and smooth. (If using chocolate baking crumbs, you can simply stir the two together).
Press into a 9 deep dish pie plate or springform pan (if using a springform pan, be sure to line the bottom with parchment so it is easy to remove).
Place the crust into the freezer for 15 minutes and remove the mint chip ice cream to allow it to soften slightly.
Meanwhile, unwrap the ice cream sandwiches and cut each sandwich into 9 squares. Return to the freezer.
Remove the crust from the freezer and spoon some of the ice cream into the bottom. Top with some of the ice cream sandwich cubes, pressing them into the softened ice cream gently.
Top with more of the ice cream, spreading it into the spaces between the ice cream sandwiches as much as you can. Top with more ice cream sandwich cubes and continue until all ice cream is used (you may have extra ice cream sandwiches depending on the size of your pit plate -- I like to cover all of mine with ice cream, but you can also have some dotting the top).
Freezer for 6 hours or until firm.
Remove from the freezer 10-15 minutes before slicing. Garnish with whipped cream, ice cream sandwich cubes, mini chocolate chips and fresh mint leaves as desired.
