1 tb Olive oil
4 md Onions, chopped
4 Garlic cloves, chopped
28 oz Plum tomatoes in thick puree
2 ts Leaf thyme, crumbled
2 ts Sugar
1/4 ts Salt
1/4 ts Ground black pepper
2 lb String beans, trimmed and
Halved 1>. Heat oil in Dutch oven over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook,
covered, stirring occasionally, 8 minutes or until softened. Add tomatoes, thyme, sugar, salt and pepper, breaking tomatoes with back of spoon. Stir in the string beans. Simmer, covered, stirring occasionally, 25 to 35 minutes or until beans are tender.

Join my online French cooking classes ????????: Delicious halved tomatoes stuffed with a mix of breadcrumbs garlic, parsley and olive oil. The provencal tomatoes are then broiled in the oven and serve as a side dish with grilled meat and fish.
Step by step recipe demonstrating how to make French provencal tomatoes. This dish of stuffed tomatoes with garlic and breadcrumbs is perfect if you are looking at a tomato vegetarian dish or tomato side dish.
Ingredients for 4 people:
6 ripe tomatoes chopped in half
2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
50 grams / 0.41 cups of quality breadcrumbs
3 to 4 tablespoons chopped parsley
3 tablespoons of olive oil
Salt and peper for the seasoning

This has to be the best way on how to cook fennel. It's simple it's quick and it taste delicious, it just does not get better then that.
this fennel side dish goes very well with grilled fish such as salmon, ocean trout or other white fish.
Ingredients for 4 people ( as a side dish):
2 fennel bulbs
a dozen cherry tomato on the vine
salt and pepper to season
olive oil to sprinkle over.
Cooking times:
12 mn blanching time ( precooking the fennel in salty boiling water)
Roasting the fennel with tomatoes:
in the oven for 20 minutes at 200 degrees celsius /392 F
then finish of for a further 5 minutes under the broiler to chargrill the fennel slightly.
