How To make Steamed Lobster
1/2 c Water
1/2 t Salt
1 Lemon, sliced
2 1.5-lb live lobsters, pegged
1. In a deep, 3-quart, heat-resistant, non-metallic casserole
place water, salt and lemon. 2. Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 3 minutes or until water boils.
3. Place live lobsters, head first, into boiling water: this will
render them immobile. 4. Heat, covered, in Microwave Oven 12 minutes.
5. Let stand, covered, 4 minutes to finish cooking.
6. Drain. With a sharp, heavy knife, split tail. If meat is still
translucent in center, heat, covered, about 1 minute longer or until meat is opaque. Continue to cut up the center towards the head. Remove the stomach and the intestinal tract. The green liver and the red roe are considered to be delicacies.

How to Cook Lobster Tails | Garlic Butter Lobster Tails Recipe | Chef Tips
Today I’m showing you how to cook lobster tails with a recipe that’s easy to prepare, but so big on flavor! I’ve been making this lobster tails recipe since I first started cooking professionally with chef Homaru Cantu (of Chicago’s MOTO fame), back when we worked together at Lake Arrowhead Resort in California. We made this garlic butter lobster tail recipe for New Year’s Eve back in the 1990s and it sold like crazy!
This garlic butter lobster tail recipe uses just a few ingredients. I bought my lobster tails at Costco, and the price was just $50 for 6 tails, as opposed to $50 or more per serving at most California restaurants! Here's what you'll need to make the lobster tails. Note: You can cook this lobster tail on the grill, but it can be just as easily made on a cast iron grill or even a frying pan inside the home.
