How To make Spicy Broccoli with Sausage
1/2 lb Spaghetti, linguine or dried
Chinese noodles 1 bn Green onions
1 tb Minced ginger
3 lg Cloves garlic, minced
1 ea Head broccoli
1/2 lb Country sausage
3 tb Soy sauce
1/4 ts Hot red pepper flakes or red
Chili paste
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add noodles and cook 8 minutes, or until barely tender. Trim and dice green onions. Mince ginger and garlic. Gut stems off broccoli and cut head into small florets. Peel stems and cut them into strips about one-fourth inch by 3 inches.
Heat wok or wide skillet over high heat and add sausage. Cook, breaking the sausage up and stirring until sausage is browned. Pour off all but about 1 tablespoon fat. Add half the green onions, all the ginger and garlic. Cook 1 minute. Add soy sauce, broccoli florets stems and hot red pepper flakes. Stir over highest heat for about 3 minutes; broccoli is bright green and still crisp. Add drained cooked noodles and toss to combine. Serve hot sprinkled with remaining green onions. Serves 3 to 4.
I would assume that you could use zucchini when in season or try different types of sausage.

Carla Makes Pasta with Sausage, Broccoli, & Parm
This extremely pantry-friendly pasta is a crowd-pleasing riff on the classic pasta, orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage. I originally replaced the more bitter broccoli rabe with regular broccoli to appease the palates of more than one member of my nuclear family, but it is seriously good either way. As far as other liberties, I’ve added ricotta for extra creaminess at the end, and a big squeeze of lemon brings a smack of sunshine to the sauce.

Spicy Sausage Broccoli and Pasta | Easy meals ???? ????
My how to on cooking a mid-week favourite. This recipe is basic, easy to follow and most importantly - TASTY!
If you are cooking along or trying this at home, please don’t worry if you do not cut your thumb. This is not a necessary step in the process and actually I’d recommend you avoid it entirely. Safety first, then teamwork. Ingredients are below along with a few tips. Don’t forget to like, subscribe and follow me on Insta ???? ????
Instagram:
Ingredients
Tagliatelle
1 Broccoli
12 sausages
1 red onion
2 cloves of garlic
2 red chillis
Bunch of sage
Bunch of Thyme
Bunch of Basil
3 tablespoons of white wine
Pine nuts
Parmesan
Tips:
Chillis - I like my food spicy. If you don’t want so much heat, just use one chilli or remove the seeds.
Pine nuts - Mine were pre-toasted by the good people at Sainsbury’s. You can use normal ones, but it is really worth getting them toasted. Pop them in a dry pan over a medium heat for a few minutes. Watch carefully!
White Wine - I know too little about wine to recommend what type to use. However if you don’t have any at all in, substitute with soy sauce instead. It works just as well ????
Sausages - I’ve used Cumberland, but you can use any you wish. This goes really well with Chorizo for example.
Herbs - Again, a good chance for you to personalise yours take on this. Any fresh herbs will work well. Try tarragon, rosemary Parsley ????
Pasta water - Make sure you reserve a little when draining your tagliatelle. Add it into the pan with everything else at the end, the starch helps with the sauce.

Spicy Broccoli and Sausage Orecchiette Pasta (POV Cooking)
This is another recipe I've adapted from Kenji López-Alt. I find that this is one of the easier and faster pasta recipes to make that feeds so well. 10/10 recommend. I will link Kenji's channel and referenced video below.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 bag of orecchiette or rigatoni pasta
- 1/2 kg of caseless/skinless spicy Italian sausage
- 1 head of broccoli
- 3 cloves of garlic
- grated parmesan
- 1 cup white wine
- 1 tspn red chili pepper flakes
- olive oil
- black pepper
- salt
DIRECTIONS:
On one burner of your stove, heat water for pasta.
On another burner of your stove, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large shallow pan on medium high heat. Once your oil is shimmering, add your sausage and begin to continuously break it up into smaller pieces while it browns and cooks.
While your sausage is frying, cut your broccoli into roughly 2 X 1 inch pieces and set aside. Slice your garlic into discs.
Hopefully your sausage has released most of its moisture by now and is browning and frying. Add your garlic and stir.
By this time, if your pasta water is boiling, add your pasta and boil for 7-8 minutes (or whatever your package suggests).
Add your broccoli and a bit more olive oil to the pan of sausage and garlic. Stir in a bit of red chili pepper flakes and salt, and continue to move ingredients around until broccoli is bright green in color.
If you've built a fond or any kind of burnt level of seasoning on the pan, add your wine and scrape to reduce seasoning. Let this cook until the liquid no longer smells like alcohol. (about 2-3 minutes).
Your pasta should be done by now. Drain it lightly and add to the pan. Turn your heat on low and mix your ingredients as best you can before adding as much parmesan cheese as you'd like and stirring again.
Turn your heat off and crack some black pepper over the pasta. Top with fresh olive oil and serve.
