How To make Scallion Biscuits
3/4 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Double-acting baking powder
1/4 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
2 tb Cold unsalted butter, cut
-into bits 1/4 c Minced scallion, including
-the green part 1/3 c Plain yogurt
Into a bowl sift together the flour, the baking powder, the baking soda, the salt, and freshly ground pepper to taste and blend in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in the scallion and the yogurt and combine the mixture until it just forms a soft, sticky dough. Droop the dough by heaping tablespoonsfuls onto a buttered baking sheet and bake the biscuits in the middle of a preheated 425F oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are

Cheddar Biscuits Recipe
Quick recipe for an amazing cheese appetizer. What not to like to these cheddar biscuits? Buttery, flaky, garlicky and cheesy ... one of the best combinations ever and they do look really appetizing as well.
Ingredients:
Makes about 10-12 biscuits
2 cups (250g) flour
2 1/2 tsp (10g) baking powder
1 tbsp (15g) sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
5 tbsp (70 g) cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
3/4 cup (200g) buttermilk, cold
1 cup (100g) matured cheddar cheese, grated
For brushing the tops
2 tbsp (30g) melted butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp chopped fresh parsley
1/4 tsp salt
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400 F (200 C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a medium-large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and garlic powder. Add the butter cubes, and using a pastry cutter or fork cut the butter until the pieces are no bigger than peas.
3. Add the grated cheese and just give a quick stir to combine with the flour mixture. Incorporate the cold buttermilk until just combined, don't overmix.
4. Take large spoons of mixture and with the help of another tablespoon place them on the prepared baking sheet. Optional sprinkle some grated cheese on top of each.
5. Bake for about 15-18 minutes until golden brown. While they bake, prepare the butter mixture. Melt the butter into a small sauce pan, add garlic, parsley and salt and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
6. Brush the tops of the biscuits with butter mixture and serve hot.

Sometimes I crave savoury snacks but most desserts for the afternoon tea time are sweet. This recipe is a combination of flavour of savoury scallion and the classic butter cookies. They are crunchy and yummy, and very easy to make. Here are the ingredients you need:
Ingredients (about 12 cookies)
- 60g (or 1/4 cup) butter
- 25g (or 2 tbsp) fine caster sugar
- 2g (or 1/3 tsp) salt
- 20g (or 1.3 tbsp) milk
- 20g (or 1.5 tbsp) corn oil
- 10g (or 2 tbsp) finely minced scallion
- 90g (or 0.7 cup) cake flour
- 20g (or 1/4 cup) almond powder
