1 c Butter or margarine 1 c Packed brown sugar 1/4 c Water 1 ts Vanilla extract 3 c Quick-cooking oats 1 1/4 c All-purpose flour 1 ts Salt 1/4 ts Baking soda Recipe by: TASTE OF HOME - OCT/NOV 95 In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add water and vanilla; mix well. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Chill for 30 m in. Shape into two 1-1/2" rolls; wrap tightly in waxed paper. Chill for 2 hours or until firm. Cut into 1/2" slices and place 2" apart on greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. -----
