Ingredients

beef, ground
1
each
onion, chopped
1/2
teaspoon
salt

oz
tomato soup, can, condensed
16
oz
beans, green, can, cut, drained
1/4
teaspoon
pepper
2
cup
potatoes, cooked, mashed, seasoned
1/2
cup
chedder cheese, shredded
Directions:
Crumble beef into large fry pan. Add onion and salt, and cook until browned. Drain off excess fat. Add soup, green beans and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes. Pour into a greased 2 quart casserole. Spread mashed potatoes over the top. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Hey folks! Tonight for tea I made this wonderful beef & vegetable pie :) This is so easy to make, and even easier if you use pre made/shop bought pastry. I wanted shortcrust pastry for the bottom of the pie and couldn’t find any in local supermarket…so I’ve made my own because I have plenty of flour :) Absolutely delicious with mashed potato & gravy! Or try it with a few chips…like we did.

Makes one 23cm pie or 4 small individual pies
Filling -
450g (1 pound) Best quality beef steak minced beef or ground beef
1 Medium onion - Finely diced
1 Large or 2 small carrots - diced
130g (1 cup) frozen peas
1 Beef OXO cube or similar beef bullion cube
1/2 pint (1.2 cups) Beef stock
Optional Worcestershire sauce
1 Tablespoon plain or all purpose flour
Pastry -
300g (2 1/2 cups) Plain or all purpose flour
1 Tablespoon salt
150g (5.2 oz) Very cold butter
4-5 Tablespoons very cold water
1 Beaten egg or milk to glaze

The aroma of freshly baked beef pies is so mouth-wateringly good, that even though you KNOW they’re gonna be hotter than lava, you also KNOW you need to eat them. Right now just isn’t quick enough. So, of course, every time we have party pies we also end up with a burnt tongue… because in over 30 years we’ve still not learned how to resist them.
It’s so easy to buy pre-made pies from the freezer section. But when you have a little time to make them at home, you’ll never regret it.
???? Ingredients:
500 g beef mince
1 onion finely chopped
2 cloves garlic finely chopped
4 mushrooms roughly chopped
2 carrots grated
½ cup red wine shiraz or cabernet sauvignon works well
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp nutmeg
2 tbsp instant gravy mixed into 1 cup boiling water, for an extra thick sauce add another 2 tbsp of gravy
¼ cup beef stock
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 sheets puff pastry partly thawed
2 sheets shortcrust pastry partly thawed
2 tbsp olive oil for cooking
1 egg lightly beaten

01:08 - Cut out the pie bases (shortcrust pastry)
01:31 - Cut out the pie lids (puff pastry)

02:21 - Base with egg wash and pierce lids to let steam escape
02:34 - Bake for around 25 mins until golden brown

I've always loved the pies. I remember going to the bakery Shop and getting a fresh beef pie three times a week. That and a good cinnamon roll was my lunch. Often, however, there are no bakery shops nearby. In light of that, I had to come up with a recipe to make my own. Indeed, this simple recipe produces one of easiest beef pies you'll find anywhere
As usual with Cook n' Share recipes, most of the ingredients you'll have right in your pantry. The only thing you'll have to buy is some stewing beef and a pre-made pie shell. As a tip, ground beef works fine as well.
Believe me, your family and friends will rant and rave about this super delicious pie.
