How To Make A Gin & Elderflower Julep | Cocktail Masterclass Drinks Recipe | Vegan Friendly
The Elderflower Julep is one of our signature drinks and a firm favourite of our team and our guests. The classic combination of summery British ingredients: gin, apple juice, lemon and elderflower liqueur, makes for a deliciously refreshing and drinkable cocktail.
INGREDIENTS:
???? 40ml London Dry Gin
???? 25ml St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
???? 25ml Cloudy Apple Juice
???? 1⁄4 of a Lemon, muddled
???? 8-10 Mint Leaves
???? Slapped Mint Sprig to Garnish
EQUIPMENT:
-Jigger/Measure
-Bar Spoon
-Muddler
-Crushed Ice
METHOD
1) Add a quarter of a lemon to your julep tin and muddle
2) Pick a handful of fresh mint leaves, clap the mint and lightly rub it between your hands to awaken the flavour and put them in the julep tin with the muddled lemon
3) Using your jigger to measure, add the gin, elderflower liqueur and apple juice to your julep tin
5) Fill your julep tin about two thirds of the way up with crushed ice
6) Use your bars poon to churn the drink for around 10 seconds, bringing the ingredients up from the bottom and stirring them with the ice
7) Add a large scoop of crushed ice on top of the drink to cap it
8) Garnish with a sprig of mint
9) Serve and enjoy
