How To make Nancy's Italian Cream Cake
1/2 c Shortening
2 c Sugar
2 c Sifted flour
1 t Soda
1 cn Coconut (3 1/2 oz)
1/2 c Oleo
5 Eggs, seperated
1 c Buttermilk
1 t Vanilla
1 c Pecans
Cream shortening, oleo and sugar. Add yolks one at a time - beat after each addition. Put soda in buttermilk. Add flour and milk alternately, begining and ending with flour. Add vanilla, coconut and nuts. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Cool completely. FROSTING: 8 oz. cream cheese 1 stick oleo 1 lb.
powdered sugar 1 t. vanilla Cream softened cream cheese and oleo. Add vanilla and beat in powdered sugar a little at a time.

1 1/4 C All-purpose flour
1 1/4 C Cake flour
2 C Sugar
3 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Salt

1/2 C Vegetable oil
1 tsp Vanilla
2 C Milk (2% is best)
Berry compote
8 oz raspberry
2 C Blueberry
2 C Strawberry
1 C Sugar
1/4 C Cornstarch
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 stick cinnamon
Mascarpone icing:
3 C Whipping cream
1/2 C Powdered sugar
8 oz Mascarpone
1 tsp vanilla

Hi and welcome back to my kitchen. I get asked so many questions about the buttercream that I use for my cakes and cupcakes so for this weeks cake decorating tutorial I thought it was about time I updated my Buttercream Recipe tutorial as the one on my channel is now 7 years old.
In this video I go through my easy recipe for American buttercream and answer your questions like that butter to use, how to get it smooth and creamy, how to get rid of air bubbles, how to make chocolate buttercream and so much more.
★RECIPE
340g / 12oz – Icing Sugar
170g / 6oz – Room Temperature Salted Butter
1.5 tbsp – Milk
1 tbsp – Vanilla Favouring (or favouring of your choice)
