How To make Moroccan Chicken Tagine(Hl)
2 frozen barbecued chickens with sauce
defrosted
:
kosher precooked 8 ounces frozen chopped peppers & onions
1/2 cup orange-flavored brandy
8 ounces mixed dried fruits cut in half

see note 14 ounces stewed tomatoes -- partially drained
2 teaspoons five-spice powder
8 ounces shredded carrots
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 cups coarsely cut italian parsley
sliced almonds 1 sprig italian parsley -- for garnish
Drain barbecue sauce from defrosted chickens. Reserve. Cut each chicken into 8 pieces and place, skin side up, in a baking pan. Remove any fat from reserved sauce. Place 2 cups sauce in large microwave dish. Dispose of remaining sauce. Mix in peppers and onions, brandy, dried fruits, tomatoes, five-spice powder, carrots, garlic powder, honey, lemon juice and parsley. Partially cover and microwave on high 7 minutes, until fruits are fork-tender.
Pour sauce and its contents over chicken and marinate overnight. Sprinkle with almonds and bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 45 minutes until heated completely through. Garnish with parsley before serving. This goes beautifully with a couscous mix, which cooks in 5 minutes, or barley pilaf, which microwaves in 8 minutes. Just follow the package directions.
Note: You can also use dried Mission figs

Ingredients:
SAUCE
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
1 tbsp onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp sambal oelek
1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
2 tsp lemon juice
salt to taste
2 tsp chicken powder
2 tsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 cup milk
1 cup cream
¼ tsp mixed herbs or oregano
Water as needed
CHICKEN MARINATION
½ kg chicken steaks
1 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
½ tbsp paprika
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ tsp mixed herbs or oregano
2 tbsp mustard
3 tbsp oil
½ tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
CHILI GARLIC CORN
3 tbsp butter
400g frozen sweet corn
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp chili flakes
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
MASHED POTATOES
1/2 kg potatoes, boiled mashed and passed through a sieve
50g butter
2 tsp garlic, finely chopped
½ cup milk or more if needed
150ml cream
GREEN BEANS
300g French beans, blanched
2 tbsp butter
2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
Salt & pepper to taste

Hola a a tod@s!
En Marruecos y Argelia, los tajines en realidad hacen referencia a varios platos hechos con pollo, carne, pescado y/o verduras que se guisan en un plato hueco de barro con una tapa cónica que puede ser usado para hornear tambien.
Ahora es menos usado en la gastronomia Argelina por eso lo prepararemos en una olla a presion para obtener todos los sabores de este delicioso plato o tajin.
INGREDIENTES:
- Aceite de oliva
- Contramuslos o muslos de pollo
- Perejil fresco
- Limon
- 2 cebollas pequeñas o una grande
- 2 Huevos
- Harina
- Garbanzos
- Sal, Pimienta Negra y Canela
