Hi everyone, today's recipe is an easy grill kebab recipe! It is flavourful, juicy, tender and perfect! Impress guests and family with this, it is perfect for lunch, dinner and starters! Make this easily at home with my easy step by step recipe and let me know how it went.
INGREDIENTS:
2 chicken breast filets
3 different coloured full mix peppers/Bell Peppers/Capsicum
2 full red onions
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp paprika powder
2 tsp dried oregano
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt, or to taste
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp oil

Recipe:
INGREDIENTS:
500 grams (1 pound) chicken breast, cut into cubes
1 green bell peppers, cut into squares
1 red bell peppers, cut into squares
1/4 pineapple, cut into squares
1/2 red onion, cut into squares
1 small pack of wooden skewers
The sauce :
1 garlic clove, grated
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons orange juice
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon pepper
DIRECTIONS:
Step 1 : The sauce
1- In a large bowl, add the lemon juice, orange juice, soy sauce, pepper, ground ginger, grated garlic, olive oil, honey and mix well.
2- In a container, place the chicken breast pieces along with 1/2 of the amount of the sauce. Place in the fridge and let the chicken marinate for 30 minutes.
Step 2 : Assembly
1- In a large bowl filled with water, dunk your skewers and let them soak for 30 minutes to avoid burning them when grilling.
2- Remove the skewers from the water.
3- Arrange the chicken pieces and veggies as desired in the skewers.
5- On medium heat, heat a grill pan and brush a little bit of olive oil.
6- Grill your colorful skewers on all sides until the chicken is done.
7- While grilling, make sure to brush additional sauce to keep them moist and further enhance the flavor.
8- Once done, serve immediately.

JOOJEH (PERSIAN SAFFRON CHICKEN)
Succulent and tender chicken kebabs, marinated with aromatic saffron, onion and olive oil, grilled to perfection! Perfect for summer barbecues ☀️. Hard to believe that just a few strands could provide so much depth of flavour, and we were so impressed with the amount of aromatics and colour. Very high quality saffron and beautiful packaging too!

Yield: Serves 3-4
Prep time: 20 mins
Marinade time: 6-24 hours
Cook time: 10 mins
Ingredients:
500g Chicken breast (chopped)
1 Large onion (grated)
Pinch of saffron
5 tbsp hot water
5 tbsp ice cold water
1 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp salt (or to taste)
4 tbsp olive oil
1. In a bowl of hot water, crumble in a small pinch of saffron. Let it steep for 10-15 mins.
2. Add ice cold water, grated onion, salt, pepper and olive oil. Stir to combine.
3. Add chicken into mixture and mix to thoroughly to coat all the pieces.
4. Cover and leave to marinade for a minimum of 6 hours or even better overnight.
5. Skewer chicken pieces.
6. Cook over charcoal for 5 minutes each side, or until charred and golden. (6-7 mins each side under grill in oven @ 250C)
7. Serve with fresh steamed rice and grilled tomatoes.
