Welcome to my Kitchen! I'm Leigh Anne, the mother of four adult children and my husband and I are now empty nesters. I know the challenges of learning to cook for just the 2 of you, it feels like learning to cook all over again! After the kids left home, I found that I stopped making a lot of our family's favorite dishes and treats because those recipes just made too much food and I was tempted to eat too much!
On this channel, I invite you into my kitchen each week where we learn how to make small batch recipes with big taste. You can still enjoy all those family favorite recipes, just less of it!I look forward to meeting you in the kitchen each week with a new recipe and video.

How to Make Pecan Pralines
We had heard rumors that Liberty County CFO Kim McGlothlin made the best pecan pralines in coastal Georgia, so we invited her to our kitchen to taste for ourselves.
Recipe:
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups sugar
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 tbs butter
1tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Combine all ingredients except pecans. Stir in a large, pot and then set over the heat on the stove on medium to medium high heat. Continue to stir ingredients until the mixture reaches the boiling point. Then take off the heat and continue to stir the mixture in the soft ball stage. Add pecans and continue to stir until the mixture has lost most of its gloss. Then spoon out the mixture in small portions onto wax paper and let cool.
