If you're partial to a Mince Pie around Christmas time, then you are going to LOVE this recipe, which take the idea of a Mince Pie and turns it in to a tray bake to DIE FOR!
Recipe -
300g browned butter
1 tbsp mixed spice
300g plain flour
250g ground almonds
130g brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
400g mince meat
300g currants that have been soaked in brandy for 2 hours

Using Pillsbury Grands biscuits makes these empanadas even easier! A creative twist on classic empanadas is sure to please the whole family. Whether you are serving it as an appetizer, snack, or meal, it is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:
????Beef Torta (recipe bellow)
????1- 16 oz Pillsbury Grands Southern Homestyle biscuits
????green onions, chopped
????1/2 c mozzarella cheese, grated or any cheese you like
????egg wash, (1 beaten egg with 1 tbsp water)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F.
On a flat surface, sprinkle some flour. Separate the dough into 8 biscuits. Press or roll each to form 6-inch round. Scoop a heaping tablespoon of beef torta mixture on center of each round (allow beef mixture to cool slightly before spooning onto biscuit dough); top each with cheese and green onions. Brush top half with egg wash.
Fold each in half; gently stretching dough over filling, pressing seal.
Using fork, press seams to seal. Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Brush each with egg wash.
Bake @ 375°F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve empanadas with salsa, sour cream or guacamole on the side.
Reheat:
Place in an air fryer and heat for 5-7 minutes at 300°F.

Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1-2 potatoes, peeled & diced
1 carrot, peeled & diced
1/2 red bell pepper, diced
1/3 cup frozen green peas
2-3 tbsp cooking oil
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/2-1 Tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp fish sauce
1/2 tsp each garlic & onion powder
1/2 tsp salt, optional
1 tsp ground black pepper
2 Tbsp lemon or lime juice
1/2 c raisins
Instructions:
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook potatoes and carrots until brown. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, add a tablespoon of oil and sauté onions and garlic until fragrant. Add red pepper flakes and red bell pepper. Stir and cook for a couple minutes. Add ground beef and cook until it is browned.
To the ground beef mixture, add soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and fish sauce. Stir and cook for 2 minutes. Adjust seasonings as needed. Season with salt if necessary. Add the fried potatoes, carrots, peas and raisins. Stir.
Continue cooking for 5 more minutes.

Ingredients:
Pastry:
85g vegan butter
175g plain flour
3 tbsp water
Salt
Mincemeat
Dairy free milk
Icing sugar
Method:
1. Break apart butter into small pieces in large bowl.
2. Add flour and mix together with fingers (or in a food processor) until breadcrumb texture is formed. Make sure your hands are cold while doing this (run wrists and hands under the cold tap beforehand).
3. Add salt and water then press together to form a dough. Do not over handle the dough.
4. Form into a flat ball, cover with cling film and put in the fridge for 30 mins.
5. Pre-heat oven to 200°C.
6. Lightly flour surface and roll out pastry.
7. Using two different sized cutters (one medium one slightly smaller) cut out 12 smaller circles for the base and 12 larger circles for the lids.
8. Place bases in tray and spoon approx 1 tsp of mincemeat into each pie. Do not overfill (I did this!)
9. Cover with lids, pressing edges together with water.
10. Pierce each lid with a fork and brush with milk.
11. Cook in the oven for 20-25 mins keeping an eye in the last 5 minutes to ensure perfect golden brown colour.
12. Dust with icing sugar and enjoy!

Hi folks welcome to the day's video, today I am making Vienese mincemeat pies this recipe is very old from before 1940's, In the video I showed you how to make up the pastry & viennese then I have links to making the mincemeat if you want it, at the end we have the finished Viennese nmincemeat tarts, this is a very easy recipe to follow check out the description for a recipe enjoy Laters ????

Recipe Ingredients:
white Flour plan 226 grams
water 14 grams
castor sugar 28 grams
butter or marg 56 grams
white shorting 56 grams
sweet mincemeat about 200 grams
Method:
Preheat the oven to 380 F – 400 f / fan 190 c -210 c
Sieve flour into a bowl, Add the fat into the flour & work the fat into the flour to make a nice fine crumb, make a well in the middle & add in the water & sugar mixture, mix lightly into a pastry, not a bread dough finish on the table, shape into a ball, roll out with rolling pin to about 3 - 4 mm, Using a knife under the pastry to remove from table, you are ready to cut out the bases 750 mm cutter, best to use Yorkshire pudding tray, Spray your tray with some oil, and now pop in the pastry
part fill up with homemade or bought sweet mincemeat,
Recipe Viennese
Ingredients:
170g Softened unsalted butter / marg
27g Castor sugar / Icing Sugar
5g Vanilla extract
170g Plain flour
Method:
Put the butter and sugar, vanilla into the bowl of a freestanding mixer with 3 speed, then beat until light.
Scrape down and add in ½ the flour and mix for a further 5 mins until light
Scrape down and add the rest of the flour and mix for a further 1 mins
You need a Pipe bag and a star tube
Spoon the mix into a piping bag fitted with a medium star tube, and pipe out over the mincemeat
Bake on the middle shelf of the preheated oven for about 20 - 25 minutes until they are a pale golden colour, when cold put some icing sugar over the top
