How To make Marvelous Mostacciol
1/2 pound Italian Sausage
1/2 cup Onion
chopped
1 Can tomatoes :
(16 ounces)
1 Can tomato paste (6 ounces)
1/3 cup Water
1 teaspoon Oregano leaves
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
8 ounces Mostaccioli noodles :
cooked
3 cups Mozzarella -- shredded
1 1/2 cups Cottage cheese
1/4 teaspoon Marjoram leaves
Brown Meat. Add onion and cook onions until they are tender. Drain. In a sauce pan combine together 1 16oz can tomatoes, 1 6oz can tomato paste, 1/3 cup water, 1 tsp oregano leaves and 1/4 tsp pepper. Combine cottage cheese and marjoram. Layer 1/2 noodles, meat sauce and mozzarella in a 12x8" baking dish, spread with cottage cheese mixture. Repeat layers of noodles, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 350~F for 30 minutes. TO MAKE AHEAD: Follow recipe instructions. Cover and refigerate overnight or freeze. When frozen, thaw before baking. Uncover and bake at 350~F for 50 minutes.

Baked Ziti is an easy, saucy, and cheesy pasta casserole. It has all of the great flavors of lasagna but is much easier to make as a pasta bake with ziti or penne noodles.

Making Mostaccioli for 50 people last minute and on a budget
Feeding a crowd at the last minute.
Easy and affordable mostaccioli, add garlic bread and a fresh salad for a well-rounded and complete meal.
Great for family reunions, weddings, funerals, summer parties, winter parties.. all parties ;)
3 lbs meat - I used 2 lbs ground hamburger and 1 lb ground Italian sausage. Fry in batches and set aside.
3 boxes of pasta - I used penne but shells, macaroni or bowties would work. Boil each box separate until aldente
Sauce:
5 cans or jars of pasta sauce
3-4 cans of crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce
Italian season to taste - I used probably 5-6 tsp
dried basil to taste - I used probably 4-5 tsp
garlic to taste - I used 5-6 cloves crushed. I let this sauce simmer for about 90 mins stirring frequently to let the flavors meld.
mozzarella to taste - enough to sprinkle on top for a cheesy finish
Boil noodles, drain, and put in a bowl, add 1/3 sauce, and 1/3 meat, and mix completely. Pour into a greased metal pan. Heat for 15 mins at 350. Sprinkle cheese on top and heat additional 5 mins until cheese is melted.

3. (1) yellow onion
4. (1) red pepper
5. (2) tablespoons of minced garlic
6. (1) teaspoon of Italian seasoning
7. (1/2) teaspoon of garlic powder
8. (1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
9. (1/4) teaspoon of salt
10. (1/2) teaspoon of black pepper
11. (3) ounces of cream cheese
12. (8) ounces of shredded Italian blend cheeses
13. (8) ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese
14. (2) 24 ounce bottles of pasta sauce
15. (2) 1 pound boxes of Mostaccioli or Penne pasta (I used 2 boxes)
16. (1) tablespoon of butter
17. (1) 9x13 baking dish
18. Aluminum foil to cover
