Mirabella's Kitchen: Mostaccioli
Growing up, no one has ever heard of this dish. It was a common Sunday dinner and always served at Christmas. The story is my aunt got the recipe when she lived out of state. Admittedly, I wasn't a huge fan as a child, but revisiting it this week changed my mind.

Ingredients:
1 lb mild Italian sausage, removed from casing and crumbled
1/2 tsp dried onion

1 can water (fill one of the 28oz cans)
2 8oz cans tomato sauce
salt and pepper to taste
A sprinkling of peccorino romano cheese
1 lb penne pasta (use mostaccioli if you can find it)
16oz + mozzarella cheese, shredded
